Responsibilities
• Job Summary
• Supports the Flight Operations Compliance Program Manager in implementation of the Flight Operations Internal Audit Program (FOIAP) processes and with responses to Corrective Actions assigned to Flight Operations from internal and external Company audits.
• Supports the Flight Operations Compliance Manager in addressing compliance issues occurring in daily operations.
• Responsibilities
• Follows FOIAP Audit Schedule to ensure audits of programs, processes and procedures within Flight Operations functions are conducted in a timely manner
• Provides Audit Notifications, Audit In-Briefs and Audit Out-Briefs with Auditees
• Reviews and evaluates Flight Operations and applicable Company manuals for accuracy and compliance with Federal Regulations
• Arranges and conducts interviews as necessary during audits
• Identifies areas of non-compliance, hazards to operations not previously identified, and ineffective controls within Flight Operations
• Assists Auditees in coordination of the System Assessment process, as required, and in conduct of root cause analysis (RCA)
• Assists Auditees in development and implementation of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) addressing Findings generated by an audit
• Provides follow-up audits as necessary to ensure Corrective Actions are implemented and effective
• Generates Preliminary and Final Audit Reports
• Supports documentation and record-keeping activities related to the FOIAP processes
• Responds to internal Company audits, (e.g., Internal Evaluation Program, Flight Safety Analysis Program), and/or external Company audits, (e.g., Department of Defense, IATA Operational Safety Audit)
• Assists in addressing compliance issues identified through Irregularity Reports
• Works with Regulatory Programs and Compliance to facilitate research and adjudication of regulatory deficiencies
• Provides recommendations to Flight Operations Leadership to address identified continual improvement opportunities related to efficiency and productivity of Flight Operations functions and staff
• Fosters and maintains good working relationships within Flight Operations functional teams and with other SWA operational departments
• Attends industry meetings and conferences related to Flight Operations Compliance.

• Must have a working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 121 Air Carrier Certification and the most recent applicable Advisory Circulars
• Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications
• Education
• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Required: Bachelor's Degree in one or more of the following: Aviation/Aeronautics, Engineering, Safety, Risk Management, Human Factors, or equivalent
• Preferred: Specialized training in auditing, quality assurance and/or risk management
• Experience
• Required: Two years of combined experience in one or more of the following fields: Flight Operations/Auditing/Safety/Risk Management/Quality Assurance
• Preferred: Aviation auditing experience
• Preferred: Development and delivery of reports/presentations for small and large audiences
• Licensing/Certification
• Preferred: FAA Pilot License or Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
• Preferred: Auditor certification from a recognized institution, e.g. IATA, DOT/FAA, ASQ
• Physical Abilities
• Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area/remote location via distributive technology] for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
• Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
• Other Qualifications
• Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
• 10% travel with potential for increase or decrease based on Company needs
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by start date to comply with Executive Order 10442, which requires employees of federal contractors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
