The Business

What You'll Do

The FS Consulting Operations Leader will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee the operations activities of the Financial Services Consulting Delivery Unit (DU). This person will report to the Managing Executive for Financial Services Consulting and work with the practice leaders of each Sub-delivery Unit (SDU). This person will collaborate across the practice to ensure development of people, efficient management of operations and compliance with internal policies to meet current and future objectives of the practice.

In this role you will:

  • Maintain ownership for key activities within the Financial Services Consulting DU, including:
    • Communications. Coordinating with leaders across the practice to maintain and execute a comprehensive communications plan.
    • Change Management. Supporting key initiatives within the DU by identifying change management needs and acting as a change champion. Assisting with communications and other necessary activities related to Consulting or firmwide process and system changes.
    • People Engagement. Assessing feedback received from our internal people engagement survey and working with our practice leaders to develop and report on action plans.
    • Resource Optimization. Partnering with the resource management process that supports the Financial Services Consulting practice.
  • Serve as a liaison between various firmwide functions and leaders (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Talent Development) and Consulting functions (e.g., Finance and Risk Management) and Financial Services Consulting. This will include steering activities and driving results across the DU and SDUs:
  • Talent Acquisition. Coordinating the campus and experienced hire processes between the firmwide teams and practice leaders. This also includes collaborating with the Contingent Workforce firmwide team as needed to supplement our team.
  • Talent Development. Assisting with the development and execution of the overall learning and upskilling strategy for the Financial Services Consulting practice.
  • Financial Management. Preparing and monitoring the DU revenue budget, including associated cost and expenses. Developing monthly forecasts, while working with the practice leaders to analyze results, identify trends, and advise recommendations.
  • Risk Management. Providing oversight and support to the quality function, contract management, as well as monitoring various other compliance related activities.


Where You'll Work

The FS Consulting Operations Leader may be aligned to a Crowe office or work remotely. Occasional travel is expected based upon business needs. You'll serve our financial services practice leader who is directly responsible for the unit's market growth and success. You'll be measured by the impact your efforts have on the efficiency and profitability of our business.

Ideal Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate for this role has:
    • A proven track record for problem-solving.
    • They are curious and willing to learn new activities.
    • Strong leadership and project management skills to drive functions and ensure activities and tasks are completed as expected.
    • Experience in client service delivery is a plus.
    • 5+ years of experience
    • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Finance, Human Resources, Communications, Writing, Journalism, Media, Business, or similar significant work experience
    • Experience working within an entrepreneurial setting or within a setting that supported rapid growth, constant change, and marketing agility.
    • A basic understanding of the financial services market would be a plus, but is not required.
