What you will do:
Provide services and support to advisors and Network Office teams. To ensure optimal service, play a key role in leading the team to ensure quality deliverables are produced within service level agreements, lead the team through change, and develop team members as services evolve and grow. Deliver outstanding business performance by pursuing process excellence on behalf of our employees, field, and clients. Serve as people manager and subject matter expert for team's processes.
How you will do it:
People
- Responsible for people leadership for the operations team, including selection and onboarding, employee development, performance management, engagement, team planning and management of service levels.
- Directs the work of the team to ensure resources are fully allocated.
- Develops team members through mentorship and training.
- Serves as an escalation point for non-standard team issues.
- Participates in setting and implementing division/departmental policies and procedures as they apply to the team.
- Cultivates an environment of trust and communication to support operational improvements, back-up opportunities across job duties and job duty changes.
Work
- Leads the day-to-day operations of the area including proactively developing, recommending and implementing new procedures and ensuring goal attainment.
- Measures, analyzes, and evaluates existing processes, collects data to identify root causes and identifies improvement opportunities. Uses process improvement tools, techniques, and technology to determine potential impact and opportunities to provide additional value to the organization.
- Recommends and implements improvements to the work processes by identifying technical and service gaps and working with others to seek solutions with a focus on impacts to subscribers and the business.
- Develops methods to monitor and control redesigned processes to find opportunities for ongoing improvements.
- Problem solves to remove obstacles while considering the long-term impact of solutions. Works collaboratively with teams within Shared Business Services as well as cross-functional teams to assess and implement solutions.
- Demonstrates highly empathetic, customer-centric service while aiding others in their learning and execution of transformational activities. Customer may include the field.
Bring Your Best! What this role needs:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of operations management experience where proven leadership skills, working with diverse teams, supervision, coaching and proactive problem solving were demonstrated. Includes experience leading and developing office staff, professional level staff and managing contingent workforce relationships.
- Experience with leading and implementing process improvements, including experience with Agile or Lean methodologies and project management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are critical to success in the role.
- Ability to integrate workforce skill sets with work processes, structure, information flow and decision making to enhance an operations environment.
