Please review the following job description:

Support up to 2 estate advisors with day-to-day management of portfolio of high net worth clients' estate and/or interim trust accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary activities involved in day-to-day management of estate/trust accounts include the following: gathering and submitting required documents to open new estate/interim trust accounts on the system; identifying and inventorying assets; executing asset transfer processes in order to efficiently collect assets; safekeeping assets during course of administration; valuing assets as of date of death, including reconciling date of death cash balances in investment and deposit accounts; coordinating among internal partners to book real estate interests, closely-held business interests and mineral rights in accounts; verifying correct application of adjusted basis on all holdings; assisting with the distribution of tangible personal property; traveling as required to facilitate administration; proactively researching the internet and internal systems to find information about decedent, beneficiaries and/or learn more about a property interest; preparing and handling general correspondence related to the account, including court filings such as probate applications, court accountings, notices to creditors; processing transactions such as paying bills or depositing assets; performing account maintenance; ultimately closing the account off of the system. All of these activities must be performed while adhering to Truist policies and procedures, applicable law and the terms of the governing legal instrument.

Primary activities involved in supporting the estate advisor include the following: assisting with all aspects of client service, including direct contact via telephone, email and regular mail with clients, beneficiaries, internal partners, co-fiduciaries and interested parties such as attorneys, accountants, vendors and various external financial institutions/advisors; anticipating advisors' needs and helping them create and maintain task lists, monitor checklists, and adhere to deadlines; proactively helping advisors prepare for client meetings and presentations; assisting advisors with calendar management, expense reporting and other reporting requirements; understanding advisor's sales and retention goals and supporting their progress; completing assignments/projects/tasks per advisor's request; assisting with maintaining the accounts files.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1.College degree or 5 years previous banking or other financial institution experience which included 3 to 5 years of client support experience
2. Demonstrate strong all around product knowledge, deposits, loan, products, operating systems unique to line of business, including trust and estate
3. Ability to track and adhere to strict tax and probate court deadlines
4. Strong problem solving skills
5. Contributes to a positive team environment that fosters cooperation, trust and group identity
6. Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills
8. Excellent organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to record keeping
9. Expert Microsoft Office Suite skills

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Undergraduate degree

2. Legal and procedural knowledge
3. Trust School graduate

4. Experience preparing/reviewing individual income tax returns, estate tax returns, and/or fiduciary income tax returns
5. Certified Financial Trust Advisor (CFTA)
