Job Description:
Position Summary
Bank of America has been recognized as #1 in customer satisfaction with banking mobile apps and online banking among national banks in the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Banking Mobile App Satisfaction Study and the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Online Banking Satisfaction Study.1 We earned additional recognition by J.D. Power as #1 in Customer Satisfaction with Retail Banking Advice. We are looking to hire a talented Sr Android Engineer to design, build, and maintain the next generation of mobile applications. Your primary focus will be developing high-end mobile applications for various internal business customers.
Your primary duties may include collaborating with the design team for new application features, identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and updating applications published on the App Store.
Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the design team to define app features.
  • Mentoring and leading the development team members
  • Work with Agile coach, QA team and team members to ensure the business requirement are captured
  • Participate in design review with middleware team and coordinate with business on the functionality
  • Ensuring quality and performance of the application to specifications.
  • Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks.
  • Fixing application bugs before the final release.
  • Maintaining the code and atomization of the application.
  • Designing and implementing application updates.
  • Designing; building and maintaining next generation android mobile applications.
  • Collaborating with the design team to define app features.
  • Ensuring quality and performance of the application to specifications


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering.
  • Typically requires 5-7 years of experience.
  • Experience in leading team members, provide direction & Mentoring
  • Proven experience as an app developer.
  • Proficient in code versioning tools including Git, Bitbucket.
  • Familiarity with Biometrics, push notifications, usage of Camera API's, etc.
  • Experience with continuous integration & Unit tests.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution
