Facilities Technician

Team:
We are looking for a Facilities Technician to join our growing team at our test site at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. You will be responsible for facility upkeep and maintenance in support of test infrastructure and related facilities. You bring curiosity for our unique technology and our production processes and are eager to development a next generation test site.
This position is part of our Launch, Infrastructure, and Facilities organization, which oversee new construction projects and facility operations and maintenance. Our facilities are a key part to Relativity’s success in creating the first autonomous rocket factory, and delivering industry-leading launch services to our customers.
What you’ll do:
As a Facilities Technician, your roll will be to support the team with site maintenance, site upkeep, and support of day-to-day operations as required. The ability to perform work at the highest quality with minimal direction is key. You will be responsible for facility operations and maintenance across Relativity’s Mississippi real estate portfolio
What you need to know:
As a Facilities Technician at Relativity, you will be at the forefront of creating world class engine and launch vehicle test sites. You enjoy working with teams and are able to work autonomously to ensure project completion. You have a strong background in maintenance and construction and you have a passion for taking ideas and designs and making them become a reality in the built environment.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Great communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to operate hand tools (drills, band saw, grinders, mag drill, etc..)
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (forklift, reach-lift, man-lift, etc)
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing systems
- Maintain general consumable stock items.
- Organize and maintain equipment
- Maintain general site surroundings and facilities
- Site maintenance
Nice to haves but not required:
- Experience as a mechanic, carpenter, or other construction trade
- Experience with general facility maintenance
- Ability to operate heavy construction equipment (loader, water truck, etc)
- Experience with lifting and crane operations
- Experience with inventory receiving and tracking
