The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our Facilities team in Beaverton, Oregon.

As the Facilities Assistant you’ll join a team responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of a busy office environment.

You’ll provide a wide variety of services to the staff at DAT, and help keep the office running smoothly and safely.

Candidate Profile

  • Comfortable managing a range of tasks, whether using a power tool or a copy machine.
  • Routinely asks fellow co-workers, “Can I help you with that?”
  • Thrives in a multitasking environment, and enjoys solving a variety of problems.
  • Efficient and productive, adheres to the phrase, “Measure twice, cut once”  

What You’ll Do 

  • Keep all common areas and conference rooms functioning, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Mailroom duties include managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Manage office supplies, inventory and re-order basic supplies.
  • Assist staff, visitors, and vendors as necessary.
  • Perform light cleaning, painting, and repair work.
  • Prepare work station relocations and set ups for new employees.
  • Seek out, report and address safety hazards.
  • Provide backup to the front desk when needed.

Skills and Experience You’ll Bring 

  • Experience in maintenance, customer service, retail or hospitality preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including GSuite and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to work safely with basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time, push, pull, squat, bend and reach; lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license. The position requires driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the company. For example transporting mail or packages for shipping.
