Comcast's Technology, Product & Experience organization works at the intersection of media and technology. Our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products that transform the customer experience. Our roles primarily reside inside or around one of our Tech Hubs (Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs, Denver, Austin, Silicon Valley, Washington DC/N. Virginia). Some roles can work virtual full-time if they are not near a Tech Hub, but that is dependent upon the needs of the position and amount of collaboration required.

Job Summary
The Emerging Products team is passionate about growing and diversifying the ecosystem of Xfinity products and services. We explore, design, build, and deliver new product(s) and experiences to expand into untapped categories and market segments.

As the Executive Director, Emerging Services, you will help to establish a blueprint for future low latency applications (real-time video, gaming, AR/VR, etc.) that showcase the power of our network. You will advise the team's efforts to conceptualize, orchestrate, and deliver innovative ideas and services that excite, entertain, and connect our customers to everything they love.
We're seeking teammates with a passion for design thinking, a gift for identifying new areas of opportunity, and the storytelling skill to communicate big ideas in a clear, simple way.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Define and evangelize the overall vision to gain consensus and energize leaders across the company including corporate & engineering leadership, product experience owners, and business, marketing, and field leadership.
  • Articulate a clear vision that ignites passion using clear decision making, user insight and data analysis.
  • Synthesize insights across existing and emerging consumer behaviors, market research, competitive landscapes, technology trends, and internal business performance.
  • Evaluate and ensure the viability of new product ideas in the context of the organization's strengths and capabilities, production capability, quality, costs and marketplace demands.
  • Be accountable for all phases of the product lifecycle, from discovery and inception through product deployment and optimization as well as partnering with operations teams to help guide introduction into the marketplace.
  • Lead an impactful and collaborative team across product, design, engineering, and program to deliver against near-term goals you set to accomplish the strategic vision.
  • Ensure a data-driven approach to your products, defining critical metrics that gather customer and business value upfront and continually optimizing against those metrics.
  • Drive rapid product iteration in an agile environment alongside designers and technologists, breaking product work down into phases to ship new experiences, study them, and iterate
  • Champion relationships with key decision makers, balancing multiple view points with new opportunities and roadmap development.

Experience. Validated ability in Product Management in a software engineering environment; a blend of design and/or engineering experience is also a plus.
