About the job
The Red Hat IT Workplace Technology Experience team is looking for a Senior Executive Briefing Center (EBC) Technology Specialist who can define, manage, and deliver IT design requirements associated with the technology in our EBC in Boston. In this role, you will work in the EBC space, which houses interactive technologies that let visitors participate in a fully immersive experience to gain a more comprehensive understanding of Red Hat's offerings. As part of our team, you'll serve as a point of contact between the EBC and IT teams, using a deep understanding of business processes and technology to help achieve the desired innovative customer experience. You'll help plan, design, develop, launch, and support effective technologies and systems for the EBC. You'll need to understand business problems and goals, lead stakeholder collaboration, gather and compile user requirements, and devise strategies to promote change. You'll gather and analyze stakeholder needs and solutions in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring that the delivery teams and vendors understand the business requirements and deliver solutions that align with stakeholder needs.
What you will do

  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders on defining future-state business and technology architectures that take into account the future business goals
  • Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and customer experience
  • Review business requirements and research new IT advancements to make systems more modern and innovative
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness of existing systems and develop strategies for improving these systems and resolve system issues
  • Manage ongoing relationship with business partners to improve satisfaction and effectiveness of the space
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new technologies and enhancements to existing technologies
  • Work with business partners to discover and document business requirements and capture business needs
  • Create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations
  • Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope
  • Create process models, specifications, and diagrams to provide direction to the project team
  • Communicate changes of business requirements to project team, sponsors, and stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
  • Coordinate and perform testing, including end user reviews, for modified and new systems
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems
  • Manage relationships and monitor vendor performance against SLAs
  • Configure system settings and options or work with administrators to manage platforms


What you will bring

  • Experience working with EBCs and related technology
  • Good understanding of office infrastructure, including audiovisual (AV) equipment, displays, matrix switchers, video conferencing units, smart room controls, and IT communications room and cabling infrastructure
  • Technical and market understanding of virtual collaboration tools like Bluescape, content management systems, and touch interactive systems like Multitaction
  • Experience working in an IT-focused business analyst role with customers
  • Outstanding written and verbal presentation and communication skills; ability to focus discussions, guide decisions, and persuade stakeholders at all levels and communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Solid analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into operational and project requirements
  • Ability to apply modern techniques like design thinking and storytelling to help create alignment and a sense of urgency across the enterprise for the desired future-state
  • Process-motivated; skilled in producing use cases, wireframes, functional and technical requirements, gap analysis, and root cause analysis
  • Curiosity and the ability to challenge thought partners across functional areas to better understand their needs
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct research into system issues and offerings as required
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Experience defining and maintaining strategies and business and technical roadmaps
  • Proven experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or offerings
  • Proven record of experience working with external IT vendors and with carrying out projects
  • Highly motivated and organized with the ability to effectively prioritize and implement multiple simultaneous workstreams
  • Experience working in a diverse, global, team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field
