The Role:
The Sr.Events Manager will take the lead on all CMX HQ events. This includes our one annual conference, CMX Summit, as well as half-day conferences and consistent educational events throughout the year. A primary goal for this role will be to innovate on creative, and sustainable ways to scale CMX Events, driving both growth in attendance and attendee satisfaction.
What you will do:
- Organize and execute on CMX Summit, our annual hybrid flagship conference
- Organizing multiple virtual and in person educational events throughout the year
- Speaker Coordination/Programming - play a role in finding/helping to coordinate top talent (speakers) for the events. High level speakers will include founders from today’s top community companies around the world.
- Organizing multiple educational events throughout the year that will be converted into online training resources.
- Own the event database - collect all the details of the event and make our database look organized and complete throughout the entire journey.
- Some account management support (sales research, sponsor logistics, etc).
- Opportunities to get involved in securing sponsorships and partnerships.
- Oversee vendors when applicable (food and beverage, furniture rentals, signage) and some special guests (speakers, volunteers, VIPs) while acting as the point-of-contact on-site.
- Own the strategy, planning, and execution of CMX Summit, our annual conference
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in an event focused role preferred
- Remote
- Extremely high standards for the quality of the events we host
- Great communicator and collaborator
- Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment
- For time zone purposes, our ideal candidate resides in North America
