The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an events leader to join our Events team at FIS. The post holder will be an experienced events and marketing professional with excellent skills in planning and delivering events plus managing relationships with staff at all levels, partner organizations, external stakeholders and suppliers.
The events leader will ensure that face-to-face or virtual events are managed and delivered to the highest standard with maximum impact for brand awareness, lead generation and maximizing the company's return on investment.
The role requires a highly organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to network, build and manage relationships with diverse groups and also the ability to work independently and manage a demanding and varied workload.
What you will be doing:

  • Plan, execute and evolve the marketing events program
  • Organize and manage a series of events (both physical and virtual) including client summits, roundtables, internal events such as Sales kick off, executive meetings etc
  • Collaborates with Product marketing and business line leaders to ensure cohesive execution of event promotion, messaging and lead-generation.
  • On-site support requiring travel may be required
  • Manages virtual tradeshows and events using FIS' preferred platforms (Teams, Teams Live & Cvent )
  • Manage your own events' budget and help drive measurable impact on ROI
  • Manage internal communications across the organization to promote your events and drive internal engagement
  • Keep up to date with company and legal guidelines for event health and safety (eg COVID protocols), privacy (GDPR) and security in order to best advice staff and clients
  • Track events marketing performance and return on investment and report consistently.
  • On occasion support other components of the event life cycle such as venue sourcing & sending RFPs may be required
  • Support the wider events team with ad hoc activity TBD


What you bring:

  • At least 3-5+ years' experience in the events industry
  • Bachelor's degree required, marketing or communications preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management methods and techniques to ensure the coordination of people (internal clients and external vendors) and processes to achieve desired outcomes
  • General knowledge of FIS graphical templates supporting company brand identity, consistency., and production of materials
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various s levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
  • Proficiency in problem solving and time management skills managing multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency to operate independently
  • Builds and maintains productive working relationships throughout the FIS enterprise and with outside vendors
  • Coordinates and manages project resources, assigned people and processes to achieve desired outcomes
  • Proactive and committed team player
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less; record of staying on budget
