Under the leadership of the Philanthropy Marketing Manager, coordinates and manages events, community activities and philanthropy programs for Cleveland Clinic Florida. Develop, manage and implement programs and events, maintain budgets and timelines, vendor negotiations, registrations and provide timely updates and briefings to constituencies as appropriate. Coordinate logistics and manpower for events, community activities and philanthropy programs. Compile and maintain databases generated from participants in programs and events to increase capabilities of the department.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Complies with established corporate and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance methods, and safety codes. Demonstrates compliance with licensing, regulatory and accrediting agency provisions as required.
  • Consistently demonstrates appropriate and professional communication behavior toward patients, customers, vendors and coworkers. Cooperates with management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Responsible for attending and coordinating all details and logistics of events, community activities and philanthropy programs.
  • Develops and maintains master health system calendar of events, community activities and programs.
  • Secures physicians, speakers/presenters and coordinates manpower for events, community activities and programs.
  • Coordinates production of promotional and collateral materials for events, community activities and programs.
  • Arrange aspects of presentations where applicable.
  • Conducts analysis of participation; develops and maintains database of participants and utilizes database in targeted marketing efforts.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops when approved by Regional Director.
  • Provides a recap and debrief of all events to Events Manager and Regional Director.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Position may require nights, weekends and holidays.



Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • In-depth knowledge of various aspects of events



Certifications:

  • Must have valid Florida Driver's license



Competencies (Complexity of Work):

  • Within the scope of the job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experienced Professional with demonstrated attention to details, superior managerial and organizational skills and demonstrated working knowledge of stewardship and customer relations.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to act independently and exercise initiative in the coordination of work activities is essential. Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheets required. Must have strong organizational, time management and oral communication skills.



Work Experience:

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience required.
  • Must have coordination experience.



Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent travel is required and includes frequent walking, standing and sitting for periods of time.
  • Assisting in event set-up is required. As such, lifting and carrying weights of up to 35 - 60 pounds from low to high levels is occasionally required and is an essential function of the position.
  • Grasping and reaching are frequently required handling demands. Occasional bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, and standing are also required.
  • Independent decision-making is required. Mental concentration and working with precise limits of accuracy are important.
  • Able to function in a stressful environment.



Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
