Institutional Securities Group (ISG) Product Operations encompasses two functionally aligned organizations. The first, Trading & Client Operations, provides Operations functions in direct support of activity executed by Institutional Sales &Trading. The second, Clearing Operations, provides Operations functions in direct support for activity cleared by Morgan Stanley on behalf of our clients in Prime Brokerage, Listed Derivatives, and OTC Derivatives. The broad organization partners closely with Sales and Trading to develop and implement new products and services as well as drive efficiency and reduce risk in our processes. At all times we are focused on delivering quality service to clients both internal and external. ISG Product Operations partners closely with Shared Services and Banking Operations as well as Branch Operations and Operations Risk & Control to deliver a connected 'front to back' view of operations to ISG Sales and Trading.

The North American Equity Swap Trade Support is part of the Global Equity Derivative Operations Group and provides full support for the Flow & Structured Equity Swaps business. Day to day responsibilities include the management of the hedge bookings and reconciliations between hedge, risk and swap, swap trade capture and validation, lifecycle event processing, exception management, related projects and project oversight for team initiatives.

As a middle office team we have extensive contact with Traders, Financial Controllers, Project teams, Client Service and Global Operations teams and IT along with other related areas that use the output of information from Equity Swap systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for their own particular client base, whilst also providing secondary cover to their colleagues clients where appropriate.

The role demands a close working relationship with the Business Units (trading desk and Prime Brokerage), Trading Assistants and Confirmations team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Management of team to ensure daily controls are properly performed

- Career conversations with direct report

- Daily oversight of covered function

- Management of Equity Swap and related hedges life cycle events, including trade amendments, corporate action and dividend events and allocations (control and client service).

- Transaction reporting - EMIR and CFTC (control)

- Risk to B&R reconciliation and issue resolution (control)

- Responding to trading desk and client requests (client service)

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required

- 1 or more of the following:

- Previous management experience

- 3+ years of trade support experience

- Previous experience of OTC derivatives with equity swaps experience preferable

- Previous experience of corporate actions and dividend
