The Enterprise Platform Performance Lead is responsible for managing the performance and monitoring tools, processes, and teams with regard to Enterprise Platforms and key applications like SAP, Teamcenter, and Solumina.

Working with the business owners to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), develop monitoring tools and processes to review performance against those KPIs, and tracking issue / resolution via our ticketing and problem management systems.

Reporting to the business and DT management on system and application performance based on the established KPIs, monitoring findings, and solutions to improve performance will be a key focus.

This position will oversee a team of performance and monitoring engineers focused on tool development, tracking, reporting, and working with the business to improve key system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute Application Performance Management strategy and road map focused on key enterprise applications.
  • Provide leadership and overall management of performance monitoring, diagnostic, and tuning activities.
  • Lead the monitoring strategy and approach as well as drive all monitoring activities and deliverables.
  • Define key performance (KPI) metrics and validate key business transactions and processes for monitoring.
  • Act as a single point of contact for stakeholders and IT leadership in charge of driving issue resolution related to performance or monitoring findings
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance (standard work / processes) to performance diagnostic engineers
  • Oversee monitoring team and assist with triage of production performance issues.



Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of related experience OR advanced degree with 7+ years of related experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in several of the following IT services and technologies: SAP (ABAP, JAVA, HANA)
  • Oracle performance monitoring tools and tuning.
  • Application development standards, architectures, and best practices.
  • Application web strategies and infrastructure components (Websphere, Tomcat, etc).
  • Internet facing technologies, including web services security.
  • Industry tools used for Performance review or monitoring (SAP Solution Manager, AppDynamics, Tivoli).
  • Project management and oversight skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership of successful process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated previous focus on process development and implementation that span organizational boundaries.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including good written and oral communication capability.
  • Ability to effectively influence and direct the actions of those not within the direct reporting chain is essential.
