General Summary:
The Enterprise Network Specialist II will be responsible for providing next level support in a tiered environment for Windstream's Enterprise Service Delivery organization. Working directly with Service Delivery Management on customer escalations and post installation issues. Excellent communication skills and training experience are necessary components of the job.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support of complex orders during all phases within Service Delivery
- UAT and Beta Testing of new products and processes
- Development of Network Delivery documentation
- Staff training and support
- Available and willing to be in a 24 X 7 on call rotation
- Subject matter expert for current product set within Enterprise organization (Velo and Fortinet SD-WAN)
Preferred Skills:
- Expert understanding of OSI model
- Expert knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies such as Ethernet, PPP, etc.
- Expert knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP and OSPF
- Expert knowledge of VPN technology (L3VPN, L2VPN, IPSEC)
- High level understanding of MPLS and SD-WAN technologies and Network Firewall technologies
- Expert network troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Expert network troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of central office transport equipment including test methods
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 4-6 years technical/telephony experience with 4 years directly related to the job; or 7 years of directly related telephony or network operations experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience required.
