What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Build and drive employee referral policy and programs to encourage Coinbase to refer top talent.  
  • Create programs and processes to drive both active and passive referrals through Coinbase professional networks.
  • Develop employee referral strategies to find, engage, and hire top talent anywhere in the world.
  • Effectively communicate the referral process and policy and priorities of hiring needs.  
  • Track, measure and continuously improve the effectiveness of the referral program.
  • Produce meaningful results through the referral program - Volume of Referrals, Quality of Referrals, Time to Hire, Diversity, Candidate and Referrer Experience.
  • Partner with executives, leadership, referrers and candidates on all aspects of the hiring process 
  • Analyze and report on progress consistently; continually adjust strategy as needed while making decisions informed by data.
  • Advocate Coinbase’s passion for inclusion and diversity initiatives, and continue to grow our company as an inclusive, special place.


What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • 8+ years of recruiting/staffing/HR experience in a technical industry or company.
  • 3+ years of Employee Referral program experience.
  • Deep knowledge across the entire candidate lifecycle, from talent mapping, research, sourcing, interviewing, to closing.
  • Demonstrated prowess in creating innovative and unique ways to proactively find and engage pipelines of niche talent, globally.
  • Ability to think strategically and proactively, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Impeccable detail orientation and customer service mentality in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Collaborative attitude with an eagerness to pitch in and help with anything, even when it’s a task that’s new to you.


Nice to haves:

  • Experience in startup culture.
  • Expertise in companies with a global, distributed workforce.
