Job Description

PayPal is seeking an HR Operations Employee Central Specialist to support our HR Operations Global Employee Central Team. This position is responsible for resolving complex and/or escalated employee life cycle, organization management (OM), position management (PM) inquiries from Employees, Managers, Centers of Expertise (COE) (e.g. Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, etc.), HR Business Partners (HRBP's), and Vendors. The role is also responsible for monitoring the support provided to PayPal employees and managers by the various stakeholders relative to established service level agreements (SLA's) and key performance indicators (KPI's.)

Key responsibilities

  • Auditing, analyzing, and maintaining the overall quality of data in the various systems that contain employee personal and work information, i.e. Workday, Salesforce
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation
  • Communicates changes applicable to HR processes and technology
  • Support/Lead ongoing projects and initiatives that are aligned to the broader goals and priorities of the HR Function intended to optimize HR processes and technology
  • Liaise with business leaders, COE's, HRBP's, and vendors to support mass organization/employee data changes, Mergers & Acquisitions, Ongoing Performance & Rewards cycles, Organizational Restructuring, and Reporting
  • The successful candidate will be adept at working cross functionally with the broader PayPal HR team, business leaders, HRBP's, COE's, vendors, and other key partners to ensure consistency and accuracy of employee data, adherence to designed processes and technology, and risk and compliance mitigation while anchoring to the idea of the customer being at the core of what we do and/or are solving for
  • Data Steward-combine HR functional knowledge with technical expertise of HR systems to drive process and technology efficiencies and best practices to ensure integrity of all entrusted employee data
  • Serves as an escalation point for HRBP, COE and/or Vendor related inquiries
  • Support/Lead PayPal HR team projects and initiatives of varying complexity, importance, and priority
  • Provides guidance and establishes/measures SLA's and/or expectations with participant team members and stakeholders (internal/external) that support PayPal employee life-cycle processes
  • Configures, analyzes, and interprets reports and spreadsheets to build data files that require data manipulation and validation and can recognizes patterns and anomalies in data to spot potential data integrity issues in an effort mitigate data discrepancies and minimize redundant process steps through continuous improvements to processes and technology
  • Demonstrates peer leadership in establishing data integrity and auditing best practice through maintaining and creating process documents, training materials, and work instructions that ensure that data management methodologies deliver high quality data
  • Understands SOX and other governance requirements and can execute within controls to ensure data standards and quality
  • Combine HR functional knowledge with strong technical expertise of HR systems to drive process and technology efficiencies, best practices, to ensure the integrity of all employee data

Requisite Experience

  • 4-6 years relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in working with data in a relational database, Workday experience preferred
  • 3+ years of analytical work with auditing experience
  • Project leader/management experience preferred
  • Report/Query writing experience preferred



Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Degree or certificate in HR or related preferred
