About the job
The Red Hat Digital Strategy and Activation Team is looking for a passionate individual to join us as the Email and Contact Experience Specialist to support our global email marketing initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with our contact experience lead on email governance and segmentation efforts. You will need to understand how to strategically target relevant audiences based on firmographic and demographic criteria, aligning the overall marketing program to the buyer's journey. As an Email and Contact Experience Specialist, you should be able to manage multiple projects in various phases and balance strategic thinking with tactical delivery. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Support global segmentation efforts
  • Understand the different audiences Red Hat Marketing targets within our end-to-end funnel marketing efforts
  • Report using Eloqua and Salesforce.com (SFDC) to consult stakeholders on segmentation strategy
  • Track marketable numbers over time to grow segmentation effectiveness and efforts
  • Intake and fulfill segmentation requests from our global marketers
  • Continue to optimize our segmentation request process
  • Manage documentation and enablement of our global segmentation request process
  • Support email governance efforts
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of Red Hat's email governance efforts
  • Assist with Taxi for Email master template updates and enablement
  • Meet with Email Contact and Governance Task Force teams regularly
  • Partner with Marketing Operations and Technology teams and the regions to ensure that ideal email and contact governance expectations are met
  • Assist with digital life cycle and architecture documentation and enablement
  • Help review and assess segmentation requests
  • Own and create project documentation to keep the team aligned on projects and priorities
  • Coordinate and communicate with team members and external stakeholders to ensure that the documentation is consistent across teams


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) marketing experience
  • Understanding of the impact of digital programs
  • Demonstrated commitment to make an immediate impact through a positive and proactive nature
  • Excellent presentation and collaboration skills to guide solutions, gain credibility, and build rapport in a performance-oriented team environment
  • Passion for building relationships, process, and technology; willingness to take the initiative


The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience in IT or technology marketing is a big plus
  • Background in inbound marketing, demand generation, or marketing operations
  • Experience with marketing automation, e.g., Eloqua
  • Experience reporting in Salesforce.com (SFDC)
