Department OverviewThe RF Site Hardware team is an organization within the Products and Solutions group of Motorola Solutions. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated and highly reliable communications, infrastructure and networking products for Mission Critical and commercial communication products across a variety of global markets and standards. The RF Site Hardware Engineering team develops state of the art Digital, RF, Mechanical and Power Supply solutions to meet our customer’s needs.
Job Description
The candidate will be mainly responsible for support engineering development of base radio equipment, site controller, router and console products. Assignments consist of reworking circuits including 0201 and 0402 size parts and fine-pitch BGA’s, testing for product certification, analyzing and troubleshooting defect units, and some administrative tasks such as sample request, purchase orders, and various requests through MSI internal systems.
The candidate must be able to read schematics and layouts, be well organized, and capable of multitasking.
Desired Qualifications:
Technical Associates Degree
Minimum of 4 years analyzing and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
Strong interest and understanding in digital, RF and analog circuits.
Knowledge and experience of test equipment.
Skillful in soldering and replacing 0201 and 0402 size parts and fine-pitch BGAs.
Capable of making cables with various connectors and wiring sizes.
Working knowledge of Cadence Allegro Design Entry HDL and PCB Layout Editor.
Working knowledge of Labview and Python desired.
Detail oriented.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Basic Requirements
- At least a Technical Associates Degree or related.
4+ years experience in analyzing and troubleshooting electronic circuits.
