Summary:
Powin is actively recruiting for a proactive and actionable Global EHSS Manager to oversee our Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability initiatives. This role will specifically be responsible for driving and achieving Powin HSE objectives and targets through proactive, timely and effective approach and ownership, creating and sustaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace and culture. In addition, they will execute proactive and effective development, implementation, management, administration, and maintenance of the Company's HSE programs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and in alignment with Powin’s policies, objectives and goals and take the lead & proactively engage applicable managers to address HSE concerns timely, effectively and with a high sense of urgency.
Job Details:
- Inspects Powin-facilities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections
- Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
- Leads coordination of Company ESG-program & documentation
- Monitors compliance with safety procedures
- Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required, Master’s degree desirable
- 10+ years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of EPA, DHS, OSHA and other safety regulations and management systems compliant to standards OHSAS 18001 (or ISO 45001) and ISO 14001
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate professionally in writing
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
