E-Learning Specialist
The E-Learning Specialist is primarily responsible for designing and developing online training courses, programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. This role consists of, but is not limited to working on tasks, assignments, and projects relating to learning and development, including: researching training content, writing and editing outlines, syllabus, training recaps, creating e-learning trainings and promotional graphics, scheduling and sending training notices, and assisting the training team with any other training needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners.
- Develops online e-learning trainings and program using Articulate Rise and Storyline with the direction and guidance of the Training Manager and Talent Development Specialist.
- Creates promotional infographics using Canva and Visme.
- Writes and edits training outlines, syllabus, recap/summaries.
- Edits and reviews existing e-learning content to keep them current and relevant.
- Is responsible for working within the Learning Management System to upload content, handle technical issues and troubleshoot from end-user, and assists with any L&D related initiatives.
- Tracks and reports e-learning participant metrics and utilization of courses.
- Creates videos and voiceovers to be utilized within training content.
- Conducts research surrounding training materials, design, best practices and remains current with technology tools, trends, and system updates.
- Takes part in preparing training analytics and reporting.
- Provides administrative support to the Training Manager and Talent Development Specialist.
- Participates in Human Resources Department process improvement projects and assignments.
Qualifications
- College degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or training related field is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant E-Learning, Training or Curriculum Development experience required.
- Proficient in e-learning course development software, Articulate 360, primarily Rise preferred.
- Experience creating documents, PDFs, and informational graphics using Canva or Visme and Adobe preferred.
- Strong planning, attention to detail, and organizational skills with the ability to initiate and move work forward independently and manage competing deadlines and frequently changing priorities required.
- Ability to think creatively with a high interest in e-learning software and/or instructional design required.
- Good knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models required.
- Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
