Summary:
The DSO Solutions Manager has responsibility for product marketing activities for novel and on-market solutions for DSO partners (Dental Service Organizations). Solutions encompass both Digital (SW platforms) and Devices within the SureSmile Orthodontics portfolio. This is a highly visible role that will act as the lead product representative for DSOs, working on cross functional projects in collaboration with colleagues from R&D, Clinical Affairs, Strategic Marketing and others to create solutions that drive DSO growth. Responsibilities include new product identification, definition of customer requirements, SKU management, supporting documentation product launches, monitoring and management of existing products, and product lifecycle planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define customer requirements for new and existing solutions used by professional Dentists and Orthodontists
- Collaborate with other Marketing team members to initiate and interpret market research, including VOC research, to validate trends, identify and quantify market opportunities, and to support product positioning.
- Develop business cases with sound rationale (financial analysis, strategy, technological) to support new product development recommendations.
- Support the corporate gate stage process for new product development.
- Product Launches - address go-to-market needs, including definition of required assets for communication, clinical education and development of educational and communication materials and Sample/demo tool creation.
- Innovation pipeline development (multi-year planning). Work with R&D and clinical resources to establish technological directions.
- Develop a solid understanding and assess competitive product/pricing/customer set.
- Work with Regulatory Affairs on all documents needed for local new product registration. Provide ongoing regulatory and technical information on new and existing products.
- Participate in the review and assessment of product complaint and product performance issues.
- Product Lifecycle management, from development of customer requirements and authoring of Product Charters to beta testing and product launch and end-of-life process.
- Develop/maintain product claims matrices
- Develop/maintain finished goods specifications
- All training as required to comply with Quality, Safety and Manufacturing SOP's and practices.
- May need to travel occasionally, up to approximately 10%.
Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related discipline. Advanced degree a plus.
Years and Types of Experience :
- A minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in areas such as product management, product marketing, commercial strategy, and business development.
- Ideal candidate has worked on a global basis across multiple geographies and across multiple technical product segments.
- Candidates with medical device experience is considered a plus.
- Candidates with DSO experience &/or large customer partnerships is considered a plus.
