As a QMO PPAP Analyst at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for participating in the PPAP Customer Request Process by creating PPAP documentation and managing the status of requests. In this role you will work with Sales, FAEs (Field Application Engineers), CQEs (Customer Quality Engineers), and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to ensure customer PPAP requests are being met. You will be required to maintain a current knowledge of internal resources for gathering information related to industry standards and utilize all software tools required to respond to requests.
Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Utilize software tools to respond to requests (Salesforce, SharePoint, AutoPPAP, PCN system, IMDS system, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Facilitate information-gathering from various sources within Micron and respond to the customer (utilizing industry standards when applicable)
  • Facilitate completion of incoming PPAP requests in customer request system (SFDC) from Sales, Field applications Engineers (FAE), Customer Quality Engineers (CQE)
  • Manage status of open requests, including uploading of documents and emails associated with requests
  • Close out requests when completed
  • Provide completed automotive documentation to include Production Part Approval Process-PPAP, Part Submission Warrant-PSW, Distributor Data Packets


Responsibilities include:

  • Guided by project steps, work area or team objectives. Follows broad instructions.
  • Solves problems of limited complexity and consults others to resolve complex problems.
  • Works across geographies
  • Integrates sound technical knowledge of a discipline or specialty.
  • Develops project management skills.


Skills and Experiences:

  • Minimum of 3+ years in customer support environment
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of Semiconductor manufacturing is preferred
  • Self-motivated and service oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, one-on-one, and group)
  • Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office products to support day to day job functions
  • Proficient in use of Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Schedule flexibility to allow collaboration across time zones


Work Environment:

  • Flexibility to manage urgent customer needs
  • Demonstrate the ability to work across teams and different time zones
  • Up to 25% travel
