Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating and implementing operational and reporting aspects of distribution strategies related to compensation and production. Quarterbacks the effort required across CNA functional areas to build best practice for data collection of production elements as relates to the distribution channel. Partners with the Data & Analytics team to build out the broker / agent data model to establish KPI and other reporting needs. Analyzes performance and makes recommendations for go forward plans with key broker relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

  • Business Strategist
    • Understand the business unit and broker/agent strategies and plans relating to compensation and production.
    • Create roadmap outlining operational / reporting requirements.
    • Own the strategy of how technology tools, processes and data support business initiatives.
    • Define goals and create a vision for reporting and key performance indicators (KPI).
    • Anticipate business needs.
  • Execution Designer
    • Collaborate with functional areas across the enterprise to build best practice processes.
    • Define, manage and prioritize business strategy and objectives, understanding dependencies to effectively sequence development.
    • Influence and direct what is delivered.
    • Resolve conflicts, answer questions, provide clarity.
    • Support and build training materials.
  • Business / Executive Broker Manager Liaison
    • Develop relationships with executive level business stakeholders.
    • Inform and update business stakeholders regarding results and escalate as necessary.
    • Ensure buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills both verbal and written.
  • Project Manager
    • Understand scope.
    • Design and deliver processes and reports to support business insight.
    • Drive accountability.
    • Evaluate progress.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently with little or no direction.


May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  1. Insurance expertise
  • Proven knowledge of the insurance industry as well as an understanding of the company's products and services.
  • Understanding of the relationship between a P&C carrier and its distribution partners and methods.
  • Customer and / or agency data experience

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field or related experience
  2. Typically a minimum of seven years' experience in business analysis or other related field
  3. Project leadership experience is desirable
  4. Insurance Industry knowledge and experience
