What We’re Looking For:

The Director of Web Strategy and Operations is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and implementation of web properties across a variety of channels and products. This role works with a large group of stakeholders within the marketing and engineering teams to deliver a world-class web experience and drive new program and product launches while overseeing the successful rollout of critical marketing strategies.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  1. Drive best practices related to project management, organizational structure, team capacity and interaction models, managing communication with engineering, marketing technology and marketing stakeholders. 
  2. Build, grow and develop an efficient and effective team of web producers, contractors, web strategists, and managers. Provide the necessary guidance and leadership to establish team goals, responsibilities, processes, and interaction models. 
  3. Maintain ownership of quarterly planning of new program launches and feature roll-outs, ensuring all aspects of the full web production lifecycle are considered. 
  4. Provide expert guidance around overall strategies for the web strategy and production teams based on evolving product and organizational goals. 
  5. Ensure team member adherence of brand guidelines, UX/UI, accessibility and web best practices. 

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 8 years industry experience
  • Minimum 4 years management experience
  • Strong understanding of the workflow for front-end, CMS level website changes and site launches across 2U owned web properties.
  • Experience working on cross functional teams with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience communicating with executive leadership
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills 
  • Excellent project and product management skills
  • Experience with WordPress Required, Gutenberg Preferred
  • Strong understanding of accessibility, usability and web marketing best practices 
  • Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Technically savvy; Experience and/or familiarity with Wordpress or similar CMS
  • Experience leading and managing a team

In Colorado, the anticipated base salary for this role is $125,000, with potential bonus and equity eligibility. Note: The final compensation for this position may consider factors including the geographic location where the work is performed (candidate’s assigned office) and prior work experience of the candidate.
