The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Director of Technology Operations to join our team in Denver, Colorado.

Candidate profile

We are seeking a Director of Technology Operations to help us scale and transform our operations teams. You will play a central role in defining and leading best practices, in order to transform the culture and maturity of our technology organization. You’ll build relationships, model best practices, coach, and evangelize to continuously improve how we build and support great products. 

This role will report to the CTO. You will be responsible for mission critical areas and have explicit authority to drive to agreed objectives. We expect this role to take on direct management responsibility of our technology teams – Helpdesk, NOC, Network Engineers, Data Center, and Program Management teams.

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

• 10+ years of software development experience
• A minimum of 5+ years as a people manager, including leading multiple teams, in areas of Data Center Operations, DBA, NOC, Helpdesk, Network Administration, System Administrators, and Program Management.
• Manage the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems and communications networks for the organization.
• Develop, implement, and monitor management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
• Manages the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology Operations department including directing staff, who support administrative computing, networking, user services, telecommunications and other information technology functions.
• Oversee helpdesk ticket system and align priorities with business objectives.
• Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for the Information Technology Operations department, including assessing and anticipating technology projects and resource needs.
• Propose hardware/software solutions and system developments to accomplish the company's business objectives. Provide technological guidance and support within the organization.
• Design, establish, and maintain a network infrastructure for local and wide area connectivity and remote access. Create cost-benefit analyses as well as support a detailed definition of data requirements and departmental workflows. Identify user needs and resolve problems.
• Manage IT vendor and supplier selection and maintenance to ensure successful solutions

• You pause, listen, and collaborate well cross-functionally, and with geographically distributed teams
• You have a gift for providing clarity from complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field  

(Colorado only) In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $180,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience.
