McKesson is hiring a Director of Technology Communications.

Key Responsibilities -
  • Works closely with Technology clients and third-party partners to build clear communication strategies tied to business priorities.
  • Designs and implements enterprise-level campaigns to increase awareness of key programs and initiatives that support our Technology strategy and shape the digital employee experience.
  • Collaborates with Corporate Communications colleagues and communicators across McKesson to promote enterprise-wide, Technology-related communications.
  • Coaches and guides Technology clients on communications best practices, strategies and processes.
  • Quickly evaluates and capitalizes on timely communications opportunities.
  • Continually incorporates the latest technologies and best practices to amplify communications.
  • Leads Technology Communications team to ensure members:

- Understand the correlation of their work to the company's business and communication objectives.

- Carry out their work in accordance with defined success metrics.

- Have opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills.

Minimum Requirements -
  • 8+ years professional experience in communications, change management, IT or related fields.
  • 4+ years of managerial experience (direct or virtual teams).

Critical Skills -
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications, presentation, proofreading and editing skills
  • Skilled in working with senior leaders and leading through influence
  • Skilled in producing content in a deadline-driven environment
  • Understanding of Technology field and related programs
  • Experience with all stages of content creation: research, reporting, interviewing, writing, editing, production, and publishing
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, changing environment and managing multiple assignments with concurrent deadlines
  • An individual who is highly collaborative, focused and persistent
  • Experience managing regular development of content (corporate, agency or freelance)
  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced environments
  • Experience managing a team with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Curious, employee-oriented mindset and a problem solver

Additional Knowledge & Skills -
  • Experience planning and orchestrating events (e.g. all-hands calls, town halls, stakeholder events) is a plus
  • Experience with social networks and social media (e.g. Yammer, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) is a plus
  • Experience in U.S. healthcare industry a plus

Education -
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
