Job Description

This commercially transformative role will drive the continuous improvement of the systems and platforms of our B2B events and digital products. This highly influential role will co-ordinate with the Informa Markets Chief Transformation & Technology Officer (CTrO), and partner with Product and Commercial leadership, to establish technology needs, support structures and manage external technology partner relationships with customer experience at the forefront of every interaction.

Transformation through tech-enabled customer experiences

With customer outcomes at the forefront, develop and lead a commercially viable Technology strategy based on the vision and roadmap for our product portfolio of Events, B2B Marketplaces and Media & Marketing Services.

You'll work with the Global and Regional executive teams and be the voice of technology and their strategic technology partner, serving as a technology authority, provide data driven assessments and strategic recommendations for technology tools and platform provider partnerships.


You'll develop and agree the technology strategy for the business, evolve roadmaps and work with product and platform at both the PLC, Global and regional level teams to deploy across the region.
You’ll directly partner with peers in the other regions to combine platforms, solutions and investments.
You'll drive simplification, always. Your mindset is one where you align to strategy by default and deviate from it by active decision.

Working in partnership with our platforms and product teams Identify, compare, and choose technology solutions that optimise our customer journeys and drive customer outcomes through personalized recommendations, intent based targeting, content tagging, and rich media content.

Anticipate bottlenecks, balance business objectives and needs versus technical and operational constraints and adjudicate between internal stakeholder groups and partners to resolve issues.

Manage customer technology platform partner/vendor relationships based on our product vision and roadmap, and keep them engaged throughout our product discovery & delivery cycles while ensuring platform providers report regularly against key performance KPIs.

Contribute to governance and data protection strategies, helping to also disseminate practices to the commercial teams.

Qualifications

What you bring to the team

A track record for leading, technology strategy and partnering with external platform and technology providers.

Proven track record / experience in senior technology leadership roles: expert in emerging and existing technologies, with knowledge of industry standards and approaches.

Experience working in cross matric organisations, product squads on product discovery & leading large-scale delivery based projects leveraging Agile & Scrum methodologies.

Solid experience or exposure to modern web 2.0 technologies (such as Angular, Node JS)

Prior experience with and deep understanding of technology budgets from creation through management.

Strong customer-outcome orientation, working with technology that serves customer needs and aligns with our product strategy.

Proven experience in leading cross functional teams and 3rd party engineering teams within project delivery

Knowledge in implementing continuous delivery and devops with and ability to lead and conduct technological analysis and research.

Effective and confident communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build rapport with a wide range of people at all levels.

An ability to listen, investigate, and collaborate on technology solutions.

Experience in multiple industries and most importantly with customer-facing platforms and technologies
