Who we are looking for….

Promenade, formerly known only as BloomNation, is growing rapidly and looking for a Director of Tech Ops. In this role, you’ll lead our DevOps, systems, security, and IT efforts across the whole organization. You’ll advocate for cutting-edge technology, you’ll coach your team, you’ll lead by example, and, most importantly, you’ll join a group of people you enjoy working with. The ideal candidate has passion and a positive demeanor, a strong technical background managing successful teams of DevOps, systems, and IT engineers, and solid experience with large-scale SaaS in a startup environment.

Specifically, you will….

-Develop a technical roadmap for the DevOps team that map out our path towards fully automated Continuous Deployment capabilities for all products

-Setup 24/7 monitoring, alerting, and response schedules to ensure all systems have coverage

-Ensure a unified and reliable infrastructure approach across Promenade that serves the needs of each product

-Monitor, analyze, and report performance statistics for cloud-hosted environments

-Execute the company-wide global cybersecurity strategy & roadmap

-Ensure a security-minded, risk-aware culture through documentation, training, and enforcement

-Maintain information security policies, procedures, and guidelines consistent with industry standards

-Build and manage vendor relationships, interacting with third-party contributors to facilitate effective partnerships

You will excel if you have….

-10+ years of experience with building, deploying, administration, and monitoring SaaS applications and related infrastructure with at least 5 years managing DevOps/Systems teams and processes

-You have a solid understanding of operations, CI/CD, security, and networking

-You are deeply familiar with cloud concepts and can manage deployments, data center environments, performance, benchmarking, testing, monitoring, and logging all of these things

-Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Ansible, Terraform, Cloud formation

-Capacity planning and performance optimization for hardware, VMs, and data stores

-Ambitious and challenging problems are motivating to you and have proven experience in rallying your team to deliver great results

-You use a highly collaborative approach and value feedback from team members to help achieve your goals

-You know how to effectively balance speed and cost to implement, and the entire lifecycle of ownership when making recommendations

-You are an excellent cross-functional communicator, summarizing complex technical and business objectives with various stakeholders

-Deep Experience with cloud platforms (AWS specifically)

-Experience with infrastructure as code tools

-Hands-on experience with monitoring and APM tools

-Experience with log aggregation tools
