Position Overview:

The Director of Systems is responsible for leading the creation of tools, systems, processes, reporting, training, and other items related to the execution of the Brand strategic initiatives and vision for Neighborly overall. This includes the analysis of the current state and tracking of trends as initiatives are rolled out, allowing for good decisions and adjustments when necessary.

The position works closely with the Brand President and the Brand Vice President. The successful execution of the role is critical to the mission, vision, and strategy of the Brand and Neighborly overall. The Director of Systems will handle sensitive information that must be held in the strictest of confidence and is considered part of the leadership team and must act accordingly.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and define the current operating systems and best practices for training and uniformity of concept.
  • Work with leading franchisees to continually develop and enhance Brand systems.
  • Work with other Neighborly Brands to utilize the best systems across Neighborly and avoid duplication of efforts.
  • Create tools for Franchise Business Coaches and Franchise Owners that aid in the growth of top-line sales.
  • Evaluate and enhance the training system, tools, and content for Sure Start to incorporate best practices, improved effectiveness, and uniformity for a successful launch.
  • Create and distribute reporting mechanisms critical to the measurement and growth of all aspects of the Brand and associated franchisees.
  • Ensure franchisees are providing the necessary reports to maximize the Franchise Business Coach's ability to support them and aggregate the data in a manner that best supports the concept of benchmarking.
  • Develop and manage tools for the improvement in sales, reductions in costs, and improvements in efficiencies for franchisees in their day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and continually improve ways to manage the updating of pricing for the franchisee's use.
  • Act as a Project Manager on coordinating the successful roll-out of new initiatives.
  • Perform the role of a Franchise Business Coach as needed from time to time.
  • Set priorities and define methods for accomplishing assigned work. Work is generally varied and administrative or project-oriented. Requires the ability to lead and/or work with others. Perform considerable coordination and follow-through and assist Franchisees.
  • Create tools and provide training to assist Franchise Business Coaches with day-to-day operations.


Required Attributes:

  • Communicate clearly and precisely in verbal and written forms to associates, franchise owners, prospective franchise owners, and vendors.
  • The ability to meet the demands of a fast-paced office by multi-tasking, remaining flexible, and meeting the needs of internal and external customers is essential.
  • The ability to be a project coordinator on special projects and strategic initiatives and enlist the assistance of others.
  • Extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional analytical mind combined with critical thinking skills.
  • Strong people, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to add to the team culture.
  • Motivated and internally gratified by supporting management in continually managing their time more efficiently and effectively.
  • Friendly demeanor combined with a "get it done" attitude.
  • A willingness to follow systems and learn new software.


Education & Experience:

  • Education: Four-year degree in business or technical field required
  • Experience:
    • 4+ years of operational experience
    • Franchise experience is required
