Primary Purpose:

Responsible for leading and overseeing the analysis, modeling, reporting, and initiative management for system Service Line (SL) efforts. Supports the integration of the decision support systems into SL processes and activities. Draws upon a strong understanding of Service Line functions to act as a consultant in reviewing, understanding and analyzing report requests and determining feasibility of providing data to SL leadership, and staff.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Leads and directs critical service line projects and initiatives at a system level, working closely with service line leaders, operations leaders, and executives to ensure projects stay on task and ensure success.
  • Utilize vast knowledge and understanding of health care systems, operations, and clinical programming to ensure project resources, data, and plans are completed timely and effectively.
  • Controls the analysis, modeling, reporting, and reviewing of the SL reporting needs systemwide. Collaborates with various internal departments to accurately provide information to support effective decisions.
  • Leads the SL Support Services team including but not limited to the allocation of resources within that team to individual SL initiatives.
  • Oversees and directs requests for information and determines feasibility of providing data to SL leadership and staff.
  • Directs SL data and analysis assistance to SL leadership and staff including information on quality, access, productivity/clinical efficiency, engagement, etc. used to drive initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement and paths to achieve improvement.
  • Oversees development and maintenance of operational reporting, data analysis, and modeling techniques to meet the needs of the organization. Facilitates and directs the integration of complex financial components into various models and advanced analyses.
  • Ensures utilization of the SL decision support system for quality, access, productivity/clinical efficiency, engagement, etc. Continuously identifies internal data sources, interdependencies, and partnerships across the enterprise for utilization by SL leaders and staff.
  • Conducts advanced research and impact analysis, offering consultation and conclusions while taking into account the ramifications on the organization and/or departments.
  • Oversees and manages the implementation of report development and distribution software, including analysis, integration and evaluation of initiatives. Oversees system updates and enhancements, acting as a liaison between internal departments, information systems, and external vendors.
  • Prioritizes, assigns and monitors report requests and data projects among staff ensuring end user expectations and organizational goals are met. Reviews requests to ensure they meet HIPAA compliance and company standards regarding data distribution.
  • Develops and administers policies and procedures to accomplish SL-specific and organizational initiatives.
  • Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
  • Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.
