This is a hybrid role. At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline. #LI-Hybrid
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Director of Risk Strategy, you will be a critical leader in the Risk leadership. In this role, you will partner with senior leadership, cross functional partners and colleagues in Credit and Fraud risk teams to build a world-class risk management framework to enable Bluevine to scale and deliver a great customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead risk policy and strategy roadmap. Primary responsibilities would include end to end evaluation of decision efficiency for Banking and Lending business, identification of optimization opportunities and data cost rationalization
- Develop and own risk loss forecasting, performance tracking OKRs
- Collaborate with Fraud Risk, Enterprise Risk, Legal, Compliance and Security teams to build a comprehensive enterprise risk management plan and conduct a monthly Risk Review
- Build framework for enhancements to risk infrastructure and tracking - model risk management and policy standardization
- Enhance Bluevine's risk appetite framework and thresholds
- Be the primary lead to coordinate process standardization, training and change management for Credit and Fraud risk team
- Partner with Product, Operations, Data Science, Engineering and Legal teams to build comprehensive risk strategy
- Scale a data driven, multi-functional analytics team across risk areas
What We Value:
- ~8+ years, including leadership experience, in credit and fraud risk management
- Ability to take a hands-on approach to risk analytics, modeling and monitoring across Bluevine’s products
- Deep understanding of data and technology and industry trend
- Deep understanding of payments, financial services, and risk systems
- Proven cross-functional and interpersonal skills with a bias toward action and delivering results
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing high performing teams
- Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferred)
