Summary of the role:

Are you the next Director of Regional Payments we are looking for?

  • You will lead payment sales process in the region by working closely with sales engineer and other commercial and product managers.
  • You will drive payment merchant opportunities from prospecting to contracting.
  • You will manage the commercial relationships and revenue generation of a portfolio of customers and markets in cooperation with TU and payment customer facing teams to maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • You will develop Amadeus Payments customer accounts in the region, contribute in sustaining and growing Amadeus market share and revenues to achieve long-term success with customers.



In this role you'll:

  • Promote and close new sales with assigned customer & market portfolio. This requires:
  • Sales planning and execution in line with BU Merchant strategy.
  • Prospecting and opportunity assessment.
  • Commercial proposals (preparation, submission and follow up)
  • RFP management within your customer segment base.
  • Closing and Contracting.
  • Retain and grow existing market share and revenues
  • Strategically working with customers to adopt/implement/onboard largest share of their business as possible, in close collaboration with Customer Care role.
  • Ensure billing and money flow.
  • Account & relationship management with customers and internal Amadeus stakeholders.
  • Identify key accounts to set plans leading to build strategic relations and to grow mutual business. Providing presentations, consultancy and expertise involving face-to-face business review meetings and liaison with customers. Alignment and coordination with the teams required to ensure customer satisfaction and highest NPS.
  • Provide the regional business needs to the BU in order to build the region's sales strategy and pipeline.
  • Represent the Payment BU at internal and external regional meetings.
  • Facilitate customer participation in Amadeus events, campaign testimonials, etc



About the ideal candidate:

  • Education: Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar and/or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred.
  • Relevant Work Experience:
    • At least five years of proven successful contribution in a customer facing role selling payment solutions to travel merchants.
    • Previous experience in the travel industry required.
    • Proven track record of hitting sales targets
    • Financial / Payment industry knowledge is a big advantage
    • Exposure to a multicultural / multinational customer environment is a must
  • Business Understanding:
    • Good undertsanding of payment industry and players
    • Good understanding of travel merchants and their distribution channels
  • Skills:
    • Computing: Generic MS Office, internet applications and SalesForce CRM
    • Language: Proficient in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus
    • Specific Knowledge: Payments solutions
    • Other: High motivation; proactivity and willingness to travel when business environment permits
