Director, Physical Security Operations

Position Purpose: Provides leadership and direction in all areas connected with the planning, management, and oversight of enterprise physical security operations and physical security related risk management. Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, standards, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates effectiveness, and collaborates with business to include, functional areas and risk partners, to ensure physical security risks are identified, mitigated, and satisfactorily resolved.
Position Responsibilities:
Plans, examines, analyzes, evaluates and directs regional operations, inclusive of physical security assets and personnel
Effectively integrate new processes, protocols and strategies to enhance the physical security platform
Designs, establishes and maintains a regional structure and staffing allocation to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives
Provides guidance and oversight regarding "best practice" business security standards, solutions and guidance to maintain a secure environment for the protection of personnel, property and information
Interprets laws, regulations, and contract requirements; directs subordinates in enforcing compliance; and maintains relationships with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and other issuers of security requirements
Oversees and provides direction for major security related projects and physical security technologies including but not limited to; access systems, alarm systems, video surveillance systems, security services, IT and data security systems and various other related systems
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, public safety, or related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in the safety and security field and 5 years of management experience required. Will consider equivalent combination of formal education training and work experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain an armed security license and accompanying CCW certification from the governing jurisdiction or Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act Program (LEOSA) certification
