Job Description

The Director of Partnerships is responsible for the commercial success of all of Daxko’s partnership programs, including Technology Partnerships, Strategic Partnerships, Agency Partnerships, and Marketplace Partnerships. You will develop the strategy for the programs and work closely with Partnership Managers to coordinate the execution. Additionally, you will help inform Daxko’s merger and acquisition strategy.

As a key contributor to Daxko’s overall strategy, the Director of Partnerships will sit on each of Daxko’s Market Councils. 

The Director of Partnerships reports to the Senior Director of Partnerships & Data.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage all Partnership Managers

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop the strategy for each partnership program
  • Develop Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each program and team member, alongside tracking mechanisms.
  • Report results and forecasts to Senior Leadership
  • Create and manage the Partnership Team’s budget
  • Develop appropriate staffing models to meet the goals of each program
  • Conduct interviews and hire great talent
  • Directly manage and support each Partnership Manager
  • Work with department leaders to develop cross-functional Standard Operating Procedures and gain resource commitments
  • Lead partnership prioritization process
  • Develop infrastructure and playbooks that enable repeatability and scalability of the partner programs
  • Regularly contribute to negotiations with partners
  • Act as a secondary layer of escalation for partner issues
  • Contribute to go-to-market planning processes with partners and internally
  • Represent the Partnerships Team in SMB, Club, and Non-Profit Market Councils
  • Socialize strategy with functional team leaders early to ensure each team is prepared for new partner launches
  • Develop channel sales models and contribute to sales incentive planning
  • Attend partnership reviews with each partner
  • Define product pricing models, determining optimal pricing for each target segment.
  • Hold a regular cadence of team meetings and reviews
  • Write and submit formal recommendations for improvements to the programs
  • Be a trusted subject matter expert in each of Daxko’s core markets. Must understand, in depth, the user base, product landscape, product gaps to solve, and the trends within each market.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategies and funnels
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a pipeline of sales or partnership opportunities
  • Experience conducting sales outreach, setting meetings, and giving sales presentations
  • Extensive experience using CRM tools to manage a regular cadence of daily, weekly, and quarterly tasks 
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record securing valuable, long-term customer or partner contracts
  • Ability to create and project manage go-to-market plans while keeping all contributors accountable to their workflows and on-time with their deliverables
  • Ability to formulate and outline effective marketing and co-marketing strategies
  • Task oriented and able to manage a high volume of small tasks each workday while making progress toward long-term projects.
  • Comfortable using project management, CRM, and document storage platforms
  • Comfortable being accountable to a quota or revenue targets
  • Excellent communicator in person, on the phone, via email, and with social
  • Not afraid of conflict – able to check your ego at the door for the benefit of the product and team
  • Able to operate in both strategic and tactical modes – manage the detail without losing sight of the big picture
  • Flexible - change and uncertainty don’t faze you

Required Education and Experience:

  • Four-year degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant sales, account management, or marketing experience
  • Experience using CRMs (preferably SalesForce)

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Prior experience in the fitness industry is a plus
  • Experience in business systems, product management, UX, web design/development, digital marketing, or software development is a plus
  • Experience using marketing automation software (HubSpot), Monday.com, Jira, Learning Management Software, and Partner Relationship Management software is a plus

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Four-year degree + Masters or MBA
  • 7+ years of strategic selling or account management

Physical Requirements:

  • Talking, listening, and speaking clearly on the telephone
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
