Job Overview
GridX, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Director of Partners and Alliances (DPA) with a record of successfully creating enterprise value through partner and alliance networks. The DPA reports to the Chief Customer Officer and is responsible for executing our partner and alliance strategy. You will:

  • Identify and engage with potential partners.
  • Assess and describe to relevant internal stakeholders the value to GridX of a relationship with these potential partners.
  • Articulate the value to the potential partners that GridX can bring to them and persuade them to invest resources to make a partnership with GridX successful.
  • Negotiate agreements.
  • Manage and grow existing partners and alliances.
  • Drive measurable outcomes that lead to growing GridX revenues and margins.
  • Help to define and manage partner and alliances budgets
  • Establish processes and forums to drive and reinforce partner engagement


As our first partnership hire, it is expected your first three to six months will be spent completely immersing yourself in the GridX value proposition, understanding our products, the problems we solve and the most logical set of partners and alliances. Your first year will be spent onboarding the backlog of existing partner relationships while also creating structure and scalable processes that will maximize partnership growth opportunities, minimize friction in the partner onboarding process, and create inertia for years two and beyond. It is expected that starting in 2024, you will have goals and objectives tied to sales through and with our partner and alliance network.
This is a unique and highly visible role within GridX as we expect partners and alliances to be a very important component of our growth strategy. You will be successful by not only signing up the best partners to work with GridX and advocating for their success, but also by partnering with our Product, Marketing and Sales teams to create win-win opportunities and outcomes.
Additional Responsibilities

  • Work with Marketing to create outbound strategies and marketing materials to attract new partners
  • Put in processes to track partner engagement, revenue, and integration adoption and report progress and success against a set of agreed objectives and key results
  • Work with Marketing and Product to create partner enablement and go-to-market collateral, coordinate partner press releases, represent partner product needs, and ensure maximum impact for GridX and our partners
  • Be flexible and willing to do a variety of tasks while team is growing


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. MBA preferred.
  • 5 years' experience working at a high growth SaaS company, preferably some of that time at companies with less than 100 employees.
  • 3 years managing a SaaS partner program.
  • Experience with companies selling to or working for Utilities.
  • Interest in Clean Energy, Climate Change, Decarbonization, or Renewable Energy a big plus.
