Director of Operations, Multi-Omics
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee and manage complex, cross-functional execution of key strategic projects and see them through to completion with internal and external stakeholders
- Mentor and manage a small Partner Operations team. This client facing team oversees multiple projects and stakeholder relationships.
- Design and/or restructure operating models, organizational structures, and service delivery models
- Identify growth and optimization opportunities and design execution roadmaps
- Ensure progress and alignment of efforts across different teams, identify and resolve bottlenecks
- Partner with Product & Engineering on development of product features
- Accountable for maintenance and growth of department KPIs
- Assist with scoping proposals, contracts, and client presentations to support new deals with customers
- Work with Tempus leadership to determine the strategy and path forward for new product offerings to Life Sciences companies out of our lab
- Talk deeply with customers about our regulatory status, including CAP, CLIA, NYS, ISO13485, FDA, etc.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years working in the healthcare industry; diagnostic laboratory a plus
- Customer-facing experience and ability to effectively communicate with clients
- Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Genetics or Cancer Genetics, Bioengineering, or related field
- Master's degree in an analytical or healthcare related field, MBA,strongly preferred
- Experience with molecular biology techniques and an aptitude to learn a broad range of high level technical information
- Organized and able to balance competing priorities and communicate effectively through multiple channels
- Self-starter with proven ability to work autonomously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
- Success working across multi-disciplinary teams
- Operating experience including leading teams and a track record of exceeding KPIs
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues and translate them into concrete action plans
- Exceptional leadership and management skills
