Job Description
The Director of Operations for Shop & Tour will analytically and strategically support all planning and execution efforts in the Shop and as relates to the Operation of the Tour. Responsibilities include overseeing business reporting and analysis, distributions with particular focus on optimal inventory levels, shipment analysis and order processing, business reporting and sales analysis, partnership in budget planning, invoice management and Inventory in the Shop and WH, and in-store Events. The goal of the role is to ensure optimal performance of the Shop, eComm and Tour business that is backed by analysis.
This role will be a highly collaborative; working across functional teams including (but not limited to) Retail Shop, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Merchandising.
- Planning:
- Partner with Finance Team, Senior Director and VP to plan strategy including sales, margin, inventory and KPI's for Shop & Tour
- Forecast sales, KPI's
- Reporting:
- Oversee daily metrics reporting for Shop & Tour
- Oversee weekly and monthly compilation of data analyses via graphs, charts, tables for Shop and Tour
- Partner with Finance on Month End, Quarter close, and Year End Reporting
- Responsible for Royalty Reporting and Payments
- Oversee maintenance, updating and monitoring Inventory by Style Report on a weekly basis: items to Reorder, Markdown, or liquidate weekly
- Prepare reports for and attend Walk-thru in Shop, in partnership with Store Manager & Merchants
- Inventory Management:
- Serve as point of contact and liaison between Shop at NBC Studios and WH Team
- Schedule and attend visits to WH
- Lead Physical Inventory in the Shop and WH
- Manage reconciliation of Inventory
- Present strategies to optimize sales and inventory
- Manage replenishment parameters and support replenishment optimization
- Review inventory discrepancies and action
- Tour:
- Oversee Daily Operation of the Tour
- Oversee Tour Manager and Operations Coordinator
- Shop:
- Oversee Event execution
- Oversee Marketing for/in the Shop
- Oversee fulfillment and processing in POS System
- Lead AP/Invoicing process
- Understand and support the successful operations of the KWI reporting system
- eComm:
- Partner with eCommerce Specialist and partners on optimal website revenue performance
Qualifications
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Analytical with an ability to balance financial targets with qualitative business goals.
- Ability to adapt to highly entrepreneurial, fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.
- A proven track record of continuous improvement in business practices.
- Exceptional communication skills and time management.
- Excellent presentational skills with Power Point competency.
- Has ability to "tell a story" with data and articulate for clear explanation.
