Job Description
The Director of Merchant Acquisition, Americas will be responsible for selling new merchants of all sizes into the Wish platform with a focus on finding and developing quality merchants that drive excellent user product experiences. As our Director of Merchant Acquisition, Americas you will lead an experienced sales team and drive sales strategies and strategic action plans to meet our merchant acquisition and revenue growth targets.
Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated track record in developing, modifying and executing a sales strategy to optimize the outcomes from the total portfolio of opportunities
  • Build and drive a high performing sales organization responsible for selling merchants into the Wish platform in the U.S., Canada, and Latin American regions.
  • Strategically manage internal and external relationships with peers, stakeholders and channel partners to ensure smooth and orderly sales operations and performance.
  • Build, strategize and own an annual Sales Plan and provide monthly & quarterly updates on performance to goal and impacts to the plan.
  • Create and communicate sales goals and ensure C-level executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
  • Manage a complex sales cycle and merchant/product solutions in both the Brandedand Performance marketing channels.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
  • Effectively communicate the Wish value propositions across various marketing activities (conferences, customer events, etc.) through presentations and proposals.
  • Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
  • Manage the inherent trade-offs between prospective clients and our shareholder
  • Bring the customer into the team and liaise with Product stakeholders to continually improve our product and service offering to clients
  • Proven track record in delivering business development outcomes both the 'sale' and the 'execution'

Qualifications

  • 10 + years of relevant internet/ecommerce/tech industry
  • 8+ years of management experience and leading teams selling merchant and e-commerce services to small and large enterprises and global branded companies.
  • A proven track record and demonstrated success in large complex sales as well as scaled selling in the SMB space.
  • Experience in hiring, coaching, and developing a geographically distributed team and managing in a virtual environment.
  • Fluency in CRM tools, building and reading out complex reports, designing sales tracking needs, sales program development (commission / incentive plans) and G-Suite.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively (When travel restrictions due to COVID-19 are relaxed and conditions are favorable).
