Job summary

The Director, Information Technology Operations is responsible for the strategy, direction and overall performance of operations and service delivery. This includes the design of the operations function, along with the selection, purchasing, procurement and management of all associated equipment and services. Additionally, this role will drive ServiceNow and Identity access management across Teradata. All IT Operations personnel, internal and third party, report directly to the Director, IT Operations. The Director has a customer-service oriented approach to delivering high quality, high performing enterprise IT.

Essential job functions and duties
  • Internal-customer obsession demonstrated through continuous improvement on internal customer satisfaction
  • Drives process improvements while motivating others to accurately analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve corporate technology related issues.
  • Leverage customer feedback + external benchmarks to identify/prioritize improvement opportunities
  • Design, direct and manage the Information Technology Operations organization
  • Form and execute the Information Technology Operations strategy and associated technology roadmap
  • Proven track record of driving a metrics driven organization
  • Own and maintain the incident and service management system across all of Information Technology (people, process and technology)
  • Drive Service desk operation and delivery of support across the global enterprise
  • Manage Information Technology service desk internal and third-party personnel across all Teradata sites
  • Defines Service Level Agreements (SLA) for third-party support providers, regularly evaluates performance against established SLAs and holds vendors accountable when contractual obligations are not satisfied.
  • Sponsor Information Technology Operations projects leveraging Teradata Service Desk, Managed Service Provider, and contract-based resources
  • Lead Teradata ServiceNow function across the enterprise including internal Information Technology function and partnership with business units leveraging the ServiceNow platform
  • Drive Identity Access Management strategy, operation and staff including Managed Service Provider
  • Co-Chair the IT Change Control Board
  • Brings knowledge of industry benchmarks & trends

Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or comparable IT certification; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in IT operations
  • 7-10 years of management experience
  • 4-6 years leading ServiceNow application teams
  • Experience with Office365 services and technology
  • Experience with enterprise end user compute management tools
  • Strong project management, communication, and customer service skills
