As a Global Governance, risk management, and compliance Director, you will directly impact the overall security posture of Micron by focusing on one of the most critical elements of a company's security portfolio. You will need to develop and deliver clear, user-focused IT Compliance and DR framework enhancing the current IT compliance program and creating the relevant processes and procedure to enable Micron's global IT Compliance as well as Micron business requirements. This position will ensure global team members are appropriately educated on regulatory security requirements through awareness and training.
You will ensure that appropriate functional domain authorities within IT, Compliance, Legal, Engineering, Product and other teams are integrated within the programs appropriately. You will lead efforts with our Global Security team to support the operationalization of the program including input to policy development, supporting process optimizations, project management of critical issues and initiatives, and program localization initiatives as needed.
This is a leader role that relies heavily on collaboration and partnership with not only peers in the Global Security Organization, but business leaders, partners, and support teams to successfully deliver on the strategy, development, alignment, and oversight of all education and awareness around security. Job duties may evolve due to business needs.
The ideal candidate must be able to develop team members on multiple activities at once, set priorities, and pivot to new tasks quickly. Candidates should be comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Collaboration with peers, leaders and global counterparts is required. Creating, communicating and implementing the right program and processes across the global enterprise are key to this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of our overall Compliance Program implementation plan, including integration with Micron systems and processes
  • Provide substantive guidance to teams as a central leader of the Compliance program
  • Lead in coordinating with key multi-functional business teams (e.g. Engineering, Product, Operations, Data Analytics, IT) to ensure effective implementation and functioning of the IT compliance program
  • Lead the development and build of program strategy, design of the execution roadmap and governance structures to ensure that the program can scale in line with business and customer requirements
  • Responsible for scaling and leading a highly effective program that demonstrates compliance with domestic and international applicable laws and regulations
  • Lead the prioritization of building the different elements of the program, in working with other Compliance and multi-functional team members
  • Lead internal and external partners in relation to audits, regulatory inspections and examinations, and ensure findings are remediated appropriately
  • Monitor and track regulatory and industry developments within the broader relevant industry and privacy compliance space and ensure changes are properly implemented through multi-functional initiatives
  • Coordinate the enhancements, audit and implementation of the DR program
  • Lead Micron IT compliance certification program including SOX ITGC, ISO 27001, CMMC and others
  • Develop and lead all aspects of centralized processes for engaging with regulators and regulatory Bodies
  • Establish company-wide and targeted IT Compliance training
  • Develop a thorough understanding of security as it applies to Micron assets


Required Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 plus years of direct experience in development, build and delivery of global GRC programs and/or audits
  • Experience in risk management in large global company
  • Executive level content creation and message delivery
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop working business relationships and trust
  • Working in similar positions for global companies
  • Experience implementing regulatory and other policy requirements
  • People management experience
  • Experience working with other groups like lawyers, engineers, product managers, data analysts, operations analysts in building compliance processes and systems


Travel:

  • 5% - 15% International/Domestic
