Director, Global Events
SailPoint is looking for a global strategic leader, who is passionate about the role of events in creating growth and business impact, to join our team. The Director, Global Events works in SailPoint's Corporate Marketing department and owns SailPoint's global events strategy and production. The ideal candidate is a strategic, driven leader with bias for action to lead our Global events team and drive experiential, engaging and targeted trade shows as well as our flagship customer event, Navigate.
In this role, you will define our global event strategy in partnership with key Executive stakeholders, and lead the Events team, resulting in programmatic, measurable impact of our portfolio of global events against our marketing goals of demand and awareness. Integral to this role is the ability to differentiate SailPoint in the Identity Security space against key segments, industries and persona's with relevant messaging, creative concepts and themes, across our most strategic events. Navigate, our flagship global annual event, accompanying regional roadshows are owned by this role, along with corporate, third-party strategic events, as well as our digital event programs.
Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Corporate Marketing, you will define, evolve and bring to life our global event strategy in new ways to deliver against marketing priorities, including awareness, acquisition, acceleration, and advocacy.
  • Define team objectives and outcomes from our Strategic Event portfolio, with robust analysis and measurement of initiatives with a passion for optimization and innovations.
  • Implement event strategy inclusive of trade shows, events and related programs that support SailPoint achieving sales, profitability, and market share goals.
  • Deliver programmatic success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and providing development.
  • Full event production, including end-to-end event management, including concept and theme creation, messaging and content, to expand the company brand through large industry tradeshows and events.
  • Manage budget for events and sponsorships including tactical plans, ongoing status reviews and post-event assessment with key stakeholders.
  • Project manage and coordinate various vendors and teams within Marketing, in the execution of each event, virtual, physical, and hybrid.
  • Pre- and post-events reporting and impact analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze effectiveness of each key event component for implementing changes and recommended improvements as needed.


Requirements

  • A motivated, world-class, self-starter with 8+ years of experience in event planning and execution in the B2B SaaS sector.
  • Expertise in the strategic and tactical execution of Tradeshows, virtual and physical. As well as experience of executing multi-day, 5,000+ attendee events.
  • Ability to maintain a view of the overall business situation when making decisions and setting policies.
  • Ability to coordinate a number of activities with multiple components requiring independent follow through and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable thinking strategically and influencing at the Executive level.
  • A strong leader with an emphasis on development and growth of your team.
  • Organizational skills and high-level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding budget development and management skills.


Travel
Ability to travel up to 30% on a global basis.
