Group/Division
The Cybersecurity group at KLA is involved in every aspect of the global business. The KLA Cybersecurity group defends against cyber-attacks and provides cybersecurity tools, incident response services and assessment capabilities to safeguard the environments that support the essential operations of KLA. We are passionate about identifying adversarial activities and anticipating a wide variety of threats to strengthen our defenses and the overall protection of KLA Intellectual Property.
As the Director of Global Cybersecurity Operations, you will be a member of the Cybersecurity leadership team and will be leading our Global Security Operations Teams, driving them to the next level in our capabilities maturity. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day operations in protecting KLA's information assets against security threats.
You will evaluate processes, technical capabilities and systems, and find opportunities for improvements, while maintaining standard operating procedures and protocols to ensure Cybersecurity operations continues to meet operational requirements.
This position reports directly to the VP - CISO.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategy for cybersecurity operations, defining goals, priorities and operational success metrics based on risk analysis.
- Align with business mission, vision and values to successfully implement the strategy.
- Be the focal point for security incident response planning, execution, and communication.
- Develop and improve incident response plan and playbooks as well as threat intelligence and threat hunting programs.
- Partner with cybersecurity and technology leadership to mitigate vulnerabilities, implement appropriate control and improve the overall security posture.
- Build, lead and mentor a group of security managers, engineers and analysts to grow and meet their potential.
- Lead vendor partners to ensure we get maximum value from engagements (right size, meet critical metrics, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study, in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, IT Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
- 10+ years in information security, 5+ years of experience in SOC and incident response teams
- 5+ years leading technical teams
- Experience in, and knowledge of security concepts and solutions across a broad IT landscape, involving on-premise, cloud, and SaaS environments.
- Experience with security and control frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO) and experience mapping control frameworks to security practices
- Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences, and in making prudent technical risk decisions
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and architects to grow capability in the team
- Ability to travel internationally
- Information security certification such as CISSP or CISM - preferred

- Master's Level Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience
