As a Director, Global Business & People Partner, at Micron Technology Inc., you are responsible for driving and leading the organizational people strategy and initiatives at an executive/senior business leadership level. You will manage complex, ongoing functional challenges and drive transformation stemming from changes in business strategy and organizational priorities. You will also partner with the executive/senior business leaders and be a key advisor on the development of long-term goals of the organization, structure, talent matters and decisions.
You will coach the executive/senior business leader to improve the organizations leadership effectiveness, enable business talent and workforce solutions through proactive consultation with business leaders, leaders within the HR functions, and the leveraging and coordination of deep HR expertise. You will be expected to collaborate with all HR functions to influence the design and implementation of HR initiatives and programs to meet business needs. As a people leader, you will provide leadership and development to the Business HR team including business, functional or regional leadership.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Drive and lead the organizational people strategy and initiatives at an executive/senior business leadership level while maintaining strategic alignment between the business and HR

  • Shape and drive the Business HR strategy from both a global and regional perspective
  • Drive organizational HR strategies and solutions which deliver business results and align to HR programs. Communicate the rationale for current policies, programs and changes as they occur
  • Understand the impact of talent alignment to business needs - identify gaps and prepare for future needs
  • Act in a consultative role to enable and support organizational effectiveness and accountability to influence business outcomes
  • Partner with the executive/senior business leaders on the development of long-term goals of the organization, structure, talent matters, decisions, and enable performance management, leadership development and succession planning
  • Promote a high-performance culture - identify, engage, reward and retain top talent; Create a positive work environment
  • Develop and drive workforce and talent plans as part of the business plan to improve business performance; Global People Plan ownership
  • Promote alignment and collaboration across the org - drive synergy and perspective, leverage common process and consistent messaging
  • Influence with HR analytics and presentation of metrics leading to discussion and informed decisions


Partner with HR functions to provide HR solutions to meet business needs

  • Be the voice of the customer to HR and the face of HR to the customer - ensuring successful program and process development and deployment with HR functions
  • Bring the business back to HR - increase visibility to business; align HR team globally to business priorities and deliver relevant and impactful HR solutions to the business
  • Learn, leverage and influence HR best practices across Business HR team
  • Anticipate and address HR related trends and issues impacting the business and provide insights, recommendations, plans, tools and solutions


Drive implementation of HR strategies, programs and solutions

  • Drive discussions related to workforce and organization design changes and provide recommendations
  • Participate and represent HR in strategic business plan development and advise on implications of decisions
  • Drive the development and implementation of the organizations HR strategies and programs in alignment with global/regional/site objectives. Translate local business requirements into HR goals and actions, in line with the HR agenda and regulatory requirements
  • Drive alignment of HR solutions with the Business HR teams


Champion change initiatives, organizational values and culture; Enhances organizational leadership and effectiveness

  • Coach and influence Leaders - help leaders be great
  • Counsel senior business leaders on talent matters
  • Model and instill the Micron culture and organizational values within the business
  • Identify business needs, help lead organizational change initiatives and communication
  • Enable global collaboration between leaders and team members


As a People Leader, the Director, Global HRBP, is expected to Lead, develop and manage the Business HR team including business, functional and regional leadership.

  • You will lead a team of Managers and senior level Individual Contributors
  • You can demonstrate broad impact through significant direct and dotted-line employee reporting relationships
  • Set overall program objectives and priorities, allocates financial and human capital for business level support, programs and projects, ensures timely and effective delivery
  • Have financial responsibility; Develop HR budgets for the business / region supported, optimize HR team headcount and overhead costs
  • Within client groups, you will direct the effectiveness of the HR operating model, programs and service delivery
  • Ensure that the Business HR team has capacity and capabilities that are aligned with business strategy
  • Ensure that members of your Business HR team are continually developing their business and HR acumen
  • Lead Business HR team to set strategy, drive innovation, develop plans, and resolve critical issues


Education
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, HR or related field
Experience

  • 7+ years' experience in Management/Leadership
  • 10+ years' experience in Business/Human Resources/ Communications, or related field
  • Related experience as Micron Global Business & People Partner
