Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of Ollie’s Fulfillment operations, including oversight of a team of five General Managers running five Ollie-operated fulfillment centers around the country
  • Lead the launch of new facilities in our network as we continue to expand our footprint and improve Ollie’s ecommerce capabilities
  • Define mission critical KPIs to assess the performance of our FCs, and work with GMs to ensure a culture of continuous improvement
  • Present a vision for the future of fulfillment at Ollie, leveraging automation technologies to reduce reliance on labor and secure productivity at scale
  • Get full leverage from newly rolled out fulfillment tools, such as Ollie’s new WMS and Kronos integrations
  • Lay out a clear strategy for performance management in our fulfillment centers
  • Develop and implement our strategy for national shipping, including national vs regional carriers, last mile shipping, line-hauls, etc.Lead contract negotiations with our carriers
  • Design KPIs, set goals, and develop reporting to monitor carrier performance and shipment and delivery-related issues
  • Develop and lead quarterly business reviews with our network of carriersAssess opportunities to improve quality, costs, and/or competitive positioning of our logistics on a regular basis
  • Develop our annual budget and quarterly reforecast for fulfillment & logistics related activities
  • Define Ollie’s packaging and icing strategy to ensure product integrity upon delivery. Work on both the tactical (packaging types & structures, ice quantities, temperature chamber testing etc.) and strategic (long-term dry ice supply and potentially in-house production)
  • Become the expert on the delivery experience as a customer and coordinate with cross functional partners in Marketing, Tech, Strategy, and Operations to achieve shared goals and objectives to improve the customer experience
  • Serve as a passionate champion of the delivery experience to delight pets, customers, and promote the Ollie brand

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of experience, at least 5+ years in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations. At least 12 months operating within a fulfillment environment is a must.
  • Extensive people management experience, across both fulfillment and corporate environments
  • Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
  • Strong team player and ‘can do’ attitude – willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
  • High motor and desire to make a huge impact. Results oriented. Those seeking a 9-5 may find the expectations of the role to be too high.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, including use of Excel
  • Very strong planning and project management skills to drive accountability
  • Financial accountability in previous roles, and deep understanding of the interplay of financial metrics cross-departmentally
  • Demonstrated leadership in a multi-site operating environment
  • Experience with refrigerated/frozen E-commerce supply chain and subscription
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong people leadership skills, values collaboration and an inclusive work environment.
  • Extremely resourceful, highly creative and high energy, able to brainstorm and implement new ideas.
  • High level of integrity and dependability
