As the Director, Footwear Operations focused on Development, you will be responsible leading the design and implementation of our product creation processes. You will work directly with our Development community, both at WHQ & across the globe helping to implement new ways of working that unleash the team's talent & expertise.
What we are looking for
We need an enterprise minded and forward-thinking individual who can obsess the day-to-day needs of our partners. Our best Operations Directors are strategic thinkers and excellent communicators with an ability to drive change. For this Footwear Operations role, this individual will be in expert in how we design, develop, prototype and manufacture Footwear. They will use their expertise in how we operate today along with a passion for innovation to transform how we will work in the future. This individual must be a skilled and empathic leader, managing and coaching a diverse team of individuals.
What will you work on
You will obsess the process for how we develop and manufacture footwear, ensuring that teams can successfully execute their daily tasks while also designing and implementing more efficient, effective and innovative ways of working. You will partner with the Development community, along with key partners in Design and Product Management to remove obstacles and barriers that impede creativity or product excellence. You will partner with teams based in WHQ as well as our Product Creation Centers in Asia to implement new processes, tools and ways of working.

You will also coach, develop and invest in a diverse team ranging from process and analytics experts to data management & system experts. You will lead a team of data management experts who support our Developers daily by cleansing & auditing data and providing deep expertise in our Product Development system (PCX). You will need to drive clear prioritization & focus, while unlocking the potential and creativity of your team.
Who will you work with
You must work across the Product Creation triad with a sharp focus on our Development community. The Development community is a broad set of teams including Technical Development, Engineering and Product Testing. You will also partner with other Operations teams and Digital Product Creation teams to bring future ways of working to life.

What you bring to nike

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education, experience, and training
  • 7+ years of professional work experience in Product Development, Product Management, Operations, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to partner on cross-functional teams supporting large scale change across an organization.
  • Strong Digital acumen, knowledge of Nike's Product Creation/Development systems preferred
  • Passionate about process design and improvement, solving complex problems
  • Expert problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Compelling, high-impact storyteller with the ability to influence at multiple levels throughout the organization.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
  • Knowledge of Product Creation and Development preferred
