The Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology and our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products and next-generation technologies that transform the customer experience

Customer Experience Technologies (CXT), led by Rick Rioboli, EVP and Chief Information Officer, is responsible for the technology, systems and tools that support the customer lifecycle (sales, activation, billing, support, etc.), as well as employee-facing teams such as human resources, finance, and workplace information technology. These tools and systems are foundational to our ability to meet and exceed customer expectations and support an excellent employee experience.

Job Description

Comcast has historically applied Oracle technologies and applications on-premise to improve their value and investment from back office/ERP technology. The company is starting the process of migrating to cloud/SaaS based technologies to support these functions. The Director works closely with our existing finance business partners to (1) drive projects and enhancements across all phases including intake, development, testing and delivery; (2) manage relationships with software vendor, development and operations teams; and (3) track operational and business critical metrics related to automations to drive continuous improvement and benefit.

What are some exciting problems you'll be working on as a Director, ERP Financials?

This role is an opportunity to start at the ground level of Comcast's ERP Financials cloud journey. We are currently finalizing contracts with the software vendor and will soon shift to the systems integrator, with the expectation to start implementation in Q3/Q4 2022. The successful candidate will be a key role for the implementation of our cloud financials and will work closely with our internal finance business partners, our internal technical teams, and our service provider to help deliver functionality in a SaaS model. The resources and abilities of our internal support teams will shift and evolve as we transition to this new model, and this role with have significant input to the transformation of the team.

Where can you make an impact?

This role will have an immediate impact on the implementation of the finance software solution (i.e., will be project oriented for some time) and will eventually own the operations, maintenance and ongoing improvements to the cloud ERP solution.

Who would this role work with?

You would handle the relationship with our vendor management partners, work daily with our onshore and offshore security and development contractors. You will also be responsible for partnering with the business leaders on through the implementation and beyond.

About The Team:

Provides a secure, stable, best-in-class enterprise-wide environment for financial processing, documenting, archiving and reporting of operational finance-impacting transactions. Delivers inventory capabilities that rapidly simplify and enable critical business functions and effectively improve the Customer and Workplace experience.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Works with business partners of financial functional areas and the senior leadership team to ensure that most efficient solution is designed to meet business needs; ensures timelines are met.
  • Develops, documents and ensures compliance with standard methodologies including but not limited to the following: ERP configuration, architecture and implementation; business process alignment - Account to Report, Procure to Pay, Acquire to Retire, Order to Cash, Inventory Accounting, etc.
  • Tracks and documents requirements for enterprise development projects and enhancements.
  • Analyzes current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects; applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture. Mentors team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture.
  • Contributes to the overall systems implementation strategy for the enterprise and participates in appropriate forums, meetings, presentations, etc. to meet that goal.
  • Gathers and understands client needs, finding key areas where technology leverage is possible to improve business process; defines architectural approaches and develops technology proofs. Communicates technology direction.
  • Monitors the project lifecycle from intake through delivery.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.



Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience leading teams adept in providing information services to applications and business processes in Finance and Supply chain
  • Experience designing and implementing transformative programs using Enterprise Resource Planning, Enterprise Performance Management, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
  • Demonstrable ability to analyze, design, configure and optimize finance business processes via technology
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience running ERP suite and SaaS based applications (Oracle, SAP, Workday, Netsuite, etc.) is required
  • Strong application design skills, combined with data, integration and security architecture skills
  • Experience designing and/or leading migrations and integrations for conversion projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large scale IT teams in large enterprise setups
  • Comfortable working with Global partners and teams
  • Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills. Ability to develop collateral to guide the discussion. Must be able to present to all levels within the organization.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
