  • Purpose of Job
    • Strategic partner to Methodist Health System, focused on enhancing organizational culture and business outcomes associated with diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, organizational psychology, human resources or related area required.
    • Experience
      • Minimum 5 years of experience in diversity, equity and inclusion work, coaching, employee development or a combination of all required.
      • Minimum 5 years of experience leading strategic initiatives and/or teams.
    • License/Certifications
      • N/A
    • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
      • Skilled in interpreting and presenting information in a clear, concise manner.
      • Skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
      • Skilled in planning, delegation, time-management, and problem-solving.
      • Strong verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and customers.
      • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards.
      • Able to travel to various locations.
      • Able to read, write, and carry out oral and written instructions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Essential Job Functions
  • Build and program manage diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, tracking outcomes and sharing results to influence and cultivate an inclusive workplace. Drive program objectives through defined project plans; manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support. Communicate new/updated programs, policies, and processes to leaders, employees and cross-functional teams.
  • Build and launch additional Employee Resource Groups in conjunction with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work.
  • Identify and prioritize key areas of focus for training and/or appropriate interventions to maximize team functioning, quality outcomes, and employee engagement through internal data analysis (e.g., turnover, employee relations information, succession planning, employee engagement survey, etc.) and other assessments. Work with managers on the development of action plans and ongoing review of initiatives
  • Develop external relationships with the Omaha Chamber and other applicable groups.
  • Research and monitor external trends in diversity, equity and inclusion. Assess impact, fit and benefit to the organization. Recommend best practices and resources.
  • Provide consulting and coaching to staff and leadership. Coaching is designed to bring about more effective, productive, and healthier performance resulting in overall improvement within the organization.
  • Build a team and supervise direct report(s), including performance evaluations and coaching.
