We're looking for a Director, Consulting Partners to join our growing team. The consulting partner channel ecosystem (MarTech advisors / management consultants, CRM agencies, and MarTech systems integrators) is in its early stages for MessageGears. We have a number of nascent consulting partner relationships that need more investment, and we are also seeing significant interest from a large number of top-tier consultants, agencies and systems integrators. This is a fantastic opportunity and the right time for a senior leader to join our team and take our consulting partner program to the next level, for what has the potential to be our highest growth channel. This role will report to our SVP of Growth & Partnerships

As a Director, Consulting Partners, you and your team will be responsible for building awareness and relationships within a defined ecosystem of emerging MessageGears consulting partners (typically MarTech advisors / management consultants, CRM agencies, and MarTech systems integrators). You and your team will be responsible for generating first meetings with specific consulting partners via inbound engagement or outbound consulting partner and consulting partner contact prioritization, assisting with deeper dive conversations and demos with those consulting partners, "better together" partnership evaluations, and subsequent go-to-market frameworks, sales enablement, technical enablement, joint marketing, partner data management, bi-directional goals and metrics, and monthly or quarterly check-ins with these consulting partners.

You're most likely to be successful in this role if you are a motivated self-starter, you have a love for technology, specifically B2C marketing technology (MarTech), and learning more every day about how marketing technology works and how marketing technology can improve business outcomes. You are outgoing, a great written and verbal communicator, and enjoy establishing and building relationships. You are hungry to learn, thrilled by a challenge, enjoy being part of a small, growing team where no two days are the same. You believe that strong partnerships drive better outcomes for MessageGears customers.

Responsibilities

  • Help refine and formulate MessageGears' Consulting Partner strategy and plan of execution, co-developing the process and structure that will allow MessageGears to scale to dozens of meaningful "better together" consulting partner relationships over the next 12 months
  • Identify, source, onboard and manage a relevant portfolio of ideal consulting partners that share MessageGears' perspective on the future of B2C MarTech, where we are "better together" in support of our joint customers, and who are committed to investing in the MessageGears relationship, while ensuring that this portfolio creates a healthy stream of opportunities both for and from our consulting partners
  • Align and collaborate closely with the MessageGears Solution Consulting / Customer Success group to ensure that our enablement, certification, and consulting partner product and technical support functions are exceeding the expectations of our consulting partners
  • Create a co-marketing framework that can be easily adopted by our consulting partners to illustrate the unique benefits that MessageGears & our consulting partners brings to clients
  • Identify & develop vertical or horizontal solutions with our consulting partners that accelerate sales cycles and the drive more meaningful and rapid business outcomes for our joint customers
  • Measure and report on success of the consulting partner program
  • Represent MessageGears at relevant in person and virtual events to maximize our mindshare and thought leadership in the consulting partner ecosystem
  • Build & maintain trust and collaboration with MessageGears sales leaders & teams
  • Be prepared to be flexible and dynamic in a fast-paced start-up
  • Travel may spike up to 50% in some months
  • Uncovering "better together" qualified new business sales opportunities at ideal customer profiles via consulting partner channel introduction is a primary success criteria for the overall MessageGears Partner organization, and a success criteria for the role.
  • Partner influence across our pipeline, partner co-selling, partner joint customers / joint solutions deployed for customers are additional key goals and metrics for the Partner team as a whole.



Requirements

  • 10+ years of Sales, Partnerships, and/or business development experience in the B2C MarTech / AdTech Ecosystem and in the MarTech Consulting partner ecosystem, with leadership experience a bonus
  • Sales DNA and a deep passion for being curious - always diving deeper to uncover how we can better be "better together" with our partners and differentiate MessageGears to generate new opportunities and deliver value to our joint customers
  • Team Player that supports and works with internal and external teams & stakeholders
  • Ability to design and present partner business plans, track and articulate partner program progress, design and document program guidelines for distribution throughout the organization and for external use w/ partners
  • A genuine interest in MarTech and the modern data stack & cloud ecosystem
  • Verbal - including presentation abilities - and written communications skills
  • Data & outcome driven
  • Bachelor's Degree + MBA (preferably).
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM is required
  • Experience leveraging B2B research tools such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and similar tools a strong plus
  • Prominent organization and presentation skills
  • Competitive, fearless team player with a natural curiosity
