Open to consideration for Full-Time Remote in the U.S.
The Director of Cloud - Business Experience & Adoption is responsible for driving cloud adoption and business engagement creating an exceptional user experience across Micron's hybrid cloud. Continue to drive and accelerate the adoption of private and public cloud solutions where applicable within Micron. Lead the Cloud - Business Experience and Adoption team to collaborate with internal business clientele to deliver on exceptional customer experience with our cloud services.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive multiyear plans for the continued adoption, alignment, and engagement of cloud within Micron
  • Work with clients to understand their requirements and capture the Voice of the customer
  • Act as a Key liaison with the Business to provide both transformational and ongoing support, managing two-way information flows to partner effectively
  • Partner with I.T. groups across Micron, including the Cloud Strategy and Engineering teams to provide an understanding of how the use of the Cloud (Private and Public) can solve business problems
  • Provide cost benefit analysis of the cloud as well as manage / optimize spend for cloud usage
  • Optimize engagement with Micron functional areas such as engineering, manufacturing, enterprise application teams, etc. to increase adoption of cloud and assist in transforming skillsets through training, labs, webinars, etc.
  • Partner with security and risk teams to conduct risk analysis around adoption
  • Participate and present at customer and partner-facing events
  • Provide quarterly insights on overall cloud adoption, financial impacts, service level metrics, and quality surveys to IT leadership


Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of I.T. experience (including management of complex transformational programs)
  • 5+ years of experience managing business facing teams that successfully deliver business value while staying within budget and timelines
  • Working knowledge of hybrid cloud environments, public cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS) and private cloud (on-prem) with experience in migrating applications to the cloud
  • 5+ years of experience in a business analyst role with a solid understanding and use of metrics, dashboards and reporting tools
  • Intimate knowledge of at least 1 major Public Cloud Service Provider (Azure, GCP or AWS) and Private Cloud technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift, VMware, etc)
  • Familiarity with infra and workload provisioning pipeline technology stacks (Azure DevOps, Terraform, Python, Ansible, Jenkins, CloudBolt, etc)
